PSY is backtracking on that invisible horse of his.
The hugely successful Gangnam Style rapper shocked many earlier today when anti-American statements he made at a protest concert in 2004 came to light. Among the incendiary lyrics: Kill those fking Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives/Kill those fking Yankees who ordered them to torture/Kill their daughters, mothers, daughter-in-law and fathers/Kill them all slowly and painfully.

He took 8 years to apologize
His new song is making a lot more money in the US than in SK
Money changes everything.
Probably needed street cred in the rap music world.
He’ll probably be awarded a retroactive Grammy.
A heartfelt apology if I ever heard one /s
I will never understand why young S Koreans hate us so much when we brought them such prosperity.
Maybe he would prefer to rap Kim Jong-Un style.
Yahoo reckoned he made about $8 million so far. Probably about $250,000 inside of South Korea.
For some reason his song is a huge hit in Vietnam too... or maybe that’s the other song. lol
No dice, dog eater!
He’ll be right at home with Obama.
Many young South Koreans see North Korea as a good country and US as a bad country. These would be the same South Koreans who are now demanding a big new entitlement welfare state, they are that stupid.
There was a protest I had found a pic from, they were holding signs that said “Taxes for the 1%, Welfare for the 99%”.....
Do they really think its possible to have 99% on welfare? They’d be eating grass and each other like in North Korea.
The irony is that many Vietnamese wished we were back, they fear the Chinese more than anything.
Yeah, he half ass apologized once he was told how much this was gonna cost him
~51 of the voting public, the same who voted for our first Socialist president, will most likely agree with this piece of crap South Korean Pee Wee Herman impersonator.
Torture? Kill? Ask anybody who did a tour in Vietnam how the ROK troops treated suspected VC. Ask PSY or POS or whatever his name is how they would’ve gotten along the last 60 years without American troops manning their DMZ?
He may not get a Grammy but he’s still playing for the ‘Sort of a God’ Obama [pbuh]
Is there a Nobel prize for Rap?
If you have seen how soldiers act around here while off base, you’d understand why.
And the horse you rode in own, Psy, you sissy.
We should demand of every country where we have troops stationed that they hold a national referendum every 2 years: Do you want the US troops to leave? If they ever say yes, we come home immediately and never go back. No matter what happens.
That’s a good start, PSY. Now if you really mean it you will refuse to play the WH and denounce 0bama as a would-be Kim Jong Un.
I love korea and I love koreans. I had two tours with the 2nd ID at Camp Casey. The culture predated our troops partying in the ville and if you’re going to state that somehow we we’re horrible occupying forces that pillaged and plundered, you are one seriously stupid person. Yes, bad things happened ( as sometimes happen where ever there are a lot of young troops), but the U.S. and ROK are truly brothers in arms against the worst dictatorship the world has ever known. We ain’t perfect, but neither are you. perhaps you and Psy should do a little introspection and maybe just keep your ignorance to yourselves.
This should help. People resent showing gratitude when they have a good case for their success being due to their own efforts. I.e., "I got this house because I busted my hiney for twenty years. Why should I get down on my knees and genuflect to Uncle Sam?"
Then, a certain dynamic kicks in. "You should be grateful." "To H*** with that! Why don't I tell 'em to stick it, instead?" In the Japanese language, the words for "gratitude" in come contexts connote "resentment."
It's tough to take, but there's a lighter side to it. People like that, albeit slowly and usually quietly, eventually get the idea that they shouldn't be all that grateful to their own governments either. It's a good bet that a lot of mainland Chinese entrepreneurs are (quietly and secretly) wondering why they should be so grateful to "St. Mao."
Not necessarily so, he has made other videos that are extremely
jingoistic, pro south K, and very anti communist.
I do believe that in 2004, (he was a lot younger then) he did get caught up in the “mood” of the time.
I do think his change of heart is genuine.
I know a lot of Koreans, when young, they resent authority and go against the grain just to be “different.”
Then suddenly, the North wakes them up. View the video at the link. Then judge.
Not defending him. He has what he has because Americans stepped up and gave it to him. He was very stupid for criticizing the very people who gave him the freedom he has.
OTH, stupid kids make stupid mistakes, and IMHO, this is one. I think his mea coulpa is not because of money, I think its because he knows now that the North is a for real threat and enemy.
Just my opinion.
Lived in Japan for 15 years. As convoluted as your post may seem to others, I understand it and agree with it completely. (I may be the only one! lol) I don’t know if anyone else will. (Maybe Dtogo and Rooster loves whatever)
Its a complex situation. Please read my other post. I do think the kid is genuine.
But hey, I’ll get flamed anyway.
PS: I think a lot of Chinese genuflect to Deng Zhou Ping before they think of the “Chairman.”
I know you know what I mean.
You would have no country without the sacrifice, commitment and deaths of Americans in the ‘50s. Get out of here you ungrateful POS and take Psy with you.
A simpler way to put it: a lot of people in the region see "Uncle Sam" as someone who says, "You didn't build that!"
Jane Fonda apoliged too. This is just another apology I refuse delivery on because they are not sincere.
Or the Nobel Peace Prize.
It's nice that the first family want to give us a traditional kind of Christmas. It's almost Norman Rockwellesque. Maybe he can get Salman Rushdie for the next Eid festivities at the White House.
I just change the word ‘yankees’ to ‘Muslims’
Did I say that out loud?
Hey, Kimchi Boy, your time is up — 00:00:00.
Yep. He looks like Kim Jung-eun anyways
The sign says: 'Taxes for the 1%/ Welfare for the 99%'
I like Korea actually.
I watch Korean TV shows online all the time. I never watch US shows anymore.
Japan “Pervertland” can fall into the ocean for all I care. Disgusting perverts.
Or to quote Elvis Costello, “I wanna bite the hand that feeds me. I wanna bite that hand so badly.”
You've hit upon the other side. Anyone who's kept their eye on Greece knows that the people who get "free stuff" from the government are far more aggressive with their demands than are taxpayers' groups that are trying to protect themselves.
I don't know why that's so, but it's a well-ensconced part of our world.
“Obama family will attend the Dec. 21 Christmas in Washington concert, as is custom.”
Thought they’d be in Hawaii on Dec. 21. So they are flying back to Washington to attend a star-studded concert? And then flying BACK to Hawaii?
There oughtta be a law.
The problem goes way back............
SK is wildly successful and they lament the old NK while hating on us even as we shed blood for them.
have you seen how ho’s act everywhere?
It’s all our fault of course /s
Kill those f--king Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives/Kill those f--king Yankees who ordered them to torture/Kill their daughters, mothers, daughter-in-law and fathers/Kill them all slowly and painfully. How about the Kenyan murdering children with drones? Anything? A peep? Didn't think so.
