He’s an idiot. We could produce intelligent, skilled adults in a few years if we had any interest in having State Technical Colleges in the America. But, the money is in the 4 year degree (money for the school, not necessarily for the student) so that’s all they push. Who wants to spend 4 years learning how to program PLCs or maintain industrial robotics as we ship all those jobs overseas?
Start bringing the manufacturing jobs back and smart kids and adults will start learning the skills. No one is going to take out a student loan to learn how to make a buggy whip.

This moron couldn't make a lemonade stand profitable much less run millions of businesses at the same time in real time as government takes days just to make 1 decision that is usually wrong and for the wrong reasons (solydnra , volt etc?.
no man can run the millions of transactions that happen in the free market every day even if that man were an intelligent, competent businessman which this pos isn't.
Ayn Rand covered this well in Atlas Shrugged. People were moving to Colorado for the freedom to run a business, so the federal government created a ‘Unification Board’ to determine who could move and where, if at all. All in the name of fairness, mind you. She really had these jokers pegged.
Not very many high school graduates are ready to learn anything. We are talking about a very stupid group of people who also think they know everything and are the center of the universe.

I’m for keeping all we can, and bringing back all we can, but the man is absolutely correct in his assessment.
One thing that comes to mind is mfg printed circuit boards. Every electronic device has one or more of them, and they are much smaller and more intricate than they were when the technology left here.
We could bring it back and crank it up, but I don’t know about the workforce to get the job done. Those asians will work 12 hours or more a day on jobs akin to picking fly shit out of pepper for a spoonful of rice, 3 noodles and a fish head. All our people are on gubmint dole. I think it’s waaaay too late to turn it around. I hope someone proves me wrong.
