Charlie Crist Signs Papers to Become Democrat AT THE WHITE HOUSE
The Tampa Bay Times ^ | December 7, 2012

It was just a matter of time.

Charlie Crist, Florida's former Republican governor who relished the tough-on-crime nickname "Chain Gang Charlie" and used to describe himself variously as a "Ronald Reagan Republican" and "Jeb Bush Republican," on Friday signed papers to become a registered Democrat.

He did so Friday evening during a Christmas reception at the White House, where President Barack Obama greeted the news with a fist bump for the man who had a higher profile campaigning for Obama's re-election this year than any Florida Democrat.

he is what other DEMS DO.

They cannot get elected as a Dem so they pretend to be a republican, once in power they push their liberal agenda.

I’ve come to the point where I can;t stand the left and their pathetic corrupt media

Should he run for office again, this will be the 3rd party identification label he’s had in 3 election cycles.

Now if we can kick Bloomberg’s ass out of the party, I’d be perfectly happy. They all need to hook up with Lindsey.

The Dems are looking hard for someone to unseat Gov Rick Scott. Scott might have some challengers in the primary.I supported Scott but had a funny feeling with some of the FL GOP he associated with. The redistricting that was done because of the census, lost us Allen Wests seat.. I do wonder if something else was in play. Our legislator are part time ($30.000k for the house) but most of them are millionaires. I think we have a Republican problem here in Florida. Scott has done some good, but he needs to finish strong (No to the health mandate!)

The FL GOP legislators did the best they could with redistricting, but their hands were tied by that stupid “fair districts” constitutional amendment adopted by FL voters in 2010. And Congressman West did not lose because of redistricting—he ran in a district that was a couple of points more Republican than his old district.

But I share your apprehension about Scott’s reelection; his 2010 election was far closer than it should have been, and he hasn’t exactly become more popular over the past coiple of years.

So much for “Chain Gang Charlie”...don’t let the door hit you in your (probably already sore) butt on the way out! BTW it’s amazing that both Hillsborough and Pinellas counties went for O in November....

Crist has always been a Democrat. I’m glad he’s finally admitting it.

Crist is following in the failed footsteps of Arlen Specter who was eventually thrown under the bus and left by the side of the road.
