Now They Tell Us - The economy never really got better
PJ Media ^ | 12/8/2012 | Tom Blumer

Now that Barack Obama is safely ensconced in the White House for another four years, several items which should have been noticed or revealed before Election Day have come to the fore. Collectively, they tell us two things: that the pre-election economy was worse than voters were led to believe, and that the prospects for meaningful improvement under the current regime are bleak at best. Additionally, in at least one instance, economic activity itself was likely manipulated.
*snip*
The probable gamesmanship occurred at Government/General Motors, which is still effectively under Obama administration control, still on track to saddle U.S. taxpayers with a loss of $25 billion or more, and still losing market share. Despite already-bloated inventories at its dealers, GM’s production lines ran full throttle during September and October. Thanks to that ramp-up and unimpressive sales growth, retail inventories grew by an astonishing 99,000 in October and November.
*snip*
News in the housing market, particularly concerning sales of new single-family homes, suddenly went from pre-election exuberance to post-election bleakness.

Anyone who thinks we can win a national election with the media we have now is simply kidding themselves. At FR most instinctively knew they were lying about the economy.

I wonder if the suckers who bought this lie will ever know how they were lied to?

A year from now 2012 will be looked at as the “good old days.” We are witnessing a perfect storm of bad economic policies, higher taxes, obamacare kicking in and we were told things are getting better when the’re not. Hold on to what you got...if you can. I hope the MSM goes down with the rest of us.

All they know is when Dancing with The Stars, The Bachelor and Two and a Half Men are on the boob tube.

Most won’t ever know, and most won’t ever care even if they did.

Sad.

Anybody who read the government pronouncements each month about unemployment and such with upbeat optimistic acceptance has an IQ less than room temperature.

In Alaska in January with no heat.

Not sure if anyone her has seen the movie “Idiocracy”, but if you haven’t I would suggest you take a look at it. It is the future, and we are heading there fast... we already have the “president”.

It’s not enough to defeat the Dem opponent; the next Republican candidate will have to take on the media too. It’s a two front war and not for the timid.

Paradoxically, this will play in the Democrats hands in the short to mid term. Why? Because as they Economy spirals downward, more people than ever will clamor for the 3Bs: breaks, benefits, and bailouts. I am almost convinced that there needs to be a complete Econmic collapse and reset to turn this situation around. Which was kind of what Ayn Rand was saying in “Atlas Shrugged”.

The MSM is totally invested in Obama and have bought into his re-distributionist schemes and government spending that will inevitably break the back of the economy. They will defend him to the bitter end.

We are heading for a recession that will most likely turn into a depression. This Hitler style King Obama will make sure that he has stepped up his destruction of America. And the House is made up of Republican fools and will do nothing to halt the financial collapse.

I actually watched it again yesterday. I can see now that it is more of a documentary than a comedy.

You give Obama a lot of credit. President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Camacho was actually interested in solving the nation’s problems.

Obama is not.......

Most have been conditioned and brainwashed by the public “education” system to believe that government is good and benevolent and doesn’t lie to the people. The propaganda has clearly worked to a large degree. The sheeple are gullible and docile, as liberalism intends.

"Welcome to Costco. I love you...welcome to Costco, I love you...welcome to Costco, I love you..."

Of course, with Windows 8 coming out (who can miss the advertising, even if you don't watch television) this is what came to mind for me:

Come to think of it, we already almost have an "Ow! My Balls!" channel. Actually, a few of them...ABC...NBC...CBS...

If more people living in this country turned off the TV, got off of their fat asses and got out of the house, they would have known this. Those who sit on the couch all day, eating bon bons and watching TV don’t know a damn thing about the economy or anything else for that matter. 99.9% of the bovine scatology they are reading on Twitter is just that, bull****. So, if they think Twitter is keeping them informed, they are badly mistaken. .

I just made up my mind. I have to own that movie and watch it again. I just looked closely at the picture I posted...I missed the channel: “Violence Network News (Give us 10 seconds)”

That was perhaps the most crushing disappointment for me in this last election. I could understand why there were many people would vote for someone like Obama in 2008...but when he was reelected, it made me realize the scales have tipped, and the electorate is clearly broken.

That enough people would elect this man again after seeing him in action for four years made me lose all hope.
