Robert F. Kennedy Jr said of Fox News Friday, "It's divided our country in a way that we haven't been divided probably since the Civil War."
This occurred during an online video interview with the Huffington Post (video follows with transcript and commentary):
ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR: There’s two things happening. One is the influence of big money in politics, and the other is the right-wing control of the American media, particularly starting with Fox News. 95 percent of talk radio in our country is right-wing, and you need, according to Pew survey, and you, so a whole section of our country that that’s what they’re hearing. They wake up in the morning, when they go to bed at night.
Twenty-two percent of Americans say their primary news source is Fox News. I think that that has, that has, it's divided our country in a way that we haven't been divided probably since the Civil War, and that it’s empowered these large corporations to get certain kinds of politicians and ideologues who are in the United States Congress elected - the Tea Party ideologues who control the Republican Party.
This is pretty hysterical considering President Obama met with representatives from MSNBC Tuesday to discuss tax policy.
It seems a metaphysical certitude Kennedy doesn't see anything wrong with that.

There have been a number of times when the split has been really vicious. All of my older relatives died convinced that FDR was a communist, a tool of Stalin. They were small businessmen and they lost fortunes during FDR’s Depression.

I am guessing the interview was on Huff Post Live. Well in 07 he went on with Glenn Beck on Headline News to debate him on Global warming and he just made no sense and sounded bad. He sounded like a clown. Robert Kennedy Jr is a nutcase.

Kennedy Jr. and his late wife, Mary Richardson Kennedy, didn’t pay a penny for the high-end kitchen appliances, dual-flush toilets, solid brass and zinc faucets, hardwood flooring and hypoallergenic rugs when they created their eco-friendly Westchester mansion. Even the bamboo hangers and the cleaning products were free — a $1.3 million bonanza of swag.
Now five months after Mary Richardson Kennedy’s suicide at the sprawling estate in Bedford, her husband is set to make a windfall.

There were offers of “platinum sponsorships” and talk of tours to showcase the mansion and its products. Home-improvement TV host Bob Vila started filming a show chronicling the construction, “Our Green House,” for NBC. It does not appear the show ever aired.
“He didn’t think he should pay for anything; even the suits he wears were donated,” a source said of RFK Jr. “He felt people should pay for him. He had an enormous sense of entitlement.
