There was some controversy over the first swearing in that necessitated a second private swearing in. I don’t remember exactly what the controversy was.

Yes, you can. In 2010, some US representative used the Koran and I don’t recall his name but it made the news because I heard/read it and my thought was, “Now they are in our government”. That’s why I remember that.
It is the oath that is legal/required, the Bible is an add on and doesn’t have to be there; it is tradition, not law.
The country is no longer the one we knew growing up.

Roberts was speaking the words of the oath and Hussein was repeating after him and Roberts got the words mixed up and Hussein tried to repeat Roberts words. It was an embarrassing moment for both of them, but now I think it was done on purpose so the legal oath could be the next day in private using the Koran.
You are probably right. I just can’t take this any more. I used to use the tag line, “Once a Muslim, always a Muslim” because I wanted to point out that if Obama is not practicing Islam, he would be considered an apostate and the be condemned to death under Sharia, yet we have never heard any indication of a complaint from the Mullahs of the world.
At the inauguration, Roberts instead said: "I do solemnly swear that I will execute the office of president of the United States faithfully . . ."
Nothing about anyone having to "administer" this "covenant with the many," nor book, nor much else added to the traditions begun by General Washington.
Since the truth, itself, seems not to be, in any way, sacred to the usurper's practices, especially the letter of the Constitution as a limit on the prerogative of the Executive under Federalism, why wouldn't the Chief Justice "administer" said oath, and why would he use a Koran, except as a provocation, intent as he seems to be in fomenting a national crisis to furthering Lincoln's project establishing the supremacy of federal power?
Well, BO has certainly “executed” the office of POTUS. It’s now a mangled corpse.
There’s not a legal requirement for the CJOTUS to do it, but I would be surprised if it were not Roberts.
The only time it hasn’t been done by the CJOTUS is 1789, 1793 and then to fill a vacancy: 1841, 1850, 1881 (although Chet Arthur was sworn in by the CJOTUS two days later), 1901, 1923, and 1963.
Andrew Johnson, Truman, and Ford were all sworn in by the CJOTUS.

I’ve never been with a prostitute, but I see any oath that Obama pretends to take just as serious, truthful and binding as a prostitute proclaiming that she loves you and screaming, “You’re my Cowboy”....
