AFP - Syria warned on Saturday that rebels could use chemical weapons in their fight against President Bashar al-Assad's forces, and insisted that the regime will never unleash such arms on its own people.

British Foreign Secretary William Hague, however, said there was evidence the Damascus government could actually employ chemical weapons stocks in the conflict which a rights group says has killed at least 42,000 people in nearly 21 months.

No, I respectfully disagree. I think the whole thing smells of a setup to give Obama et all their Casus belli to move the Caliphate forward. I have no love for Assad but it would just be foolish for him to use chem weapons at this point. Putin won't let Obama help the muslim brotherhood to power in Syria so we helped the "rebels" get some nasty nerve gas to use and make it look like Assad did it. The news medea has been helping right along and will continue to do so. Front page pictures of dead women and children and instantly, Assad is a monster who MUST be removed, the whole world now agrees. Arab "Spring" moves forward, radical islam adds Syria to it's conquests. "Democracy in Syria!" Just like Egypt. Oh happy day! Who's next? Jordan? Maybe Israel.

Since Benghazi , I dont care if Clinton ,Rice , or even OBama says that they personally saw Syrian planes dropping gas ..would i believe them .

I also agree. There could be video of the “rebels” setting off the chemical weapons, and Obama and the MSM would still blame Assad and use it as a justification to assist (I.e., send in US troops).

Concur. Now that Obama gave the New Syrian Army chemical weapons from ex-Libyan stocks and showed them how to mount the waheads and fire them, it will be interesting to see if these whackos use them on Assad. If they do, it won't be Assad doing this, but U.S.=armed Sunni Jihadi proxies of America.

I believe Putin orchestrated the attack on Benghazi (who were controlling the arms shipments) as a shot across both Barry's and Hillary's bows. If our proxies (the NSA) use the chemical weapons on Assad first, it's going to raise this civil war to an international crisis that neither the community organizer, his brain Valerie Jarrett, or Hillary are fit to formulate policy. If any of the chemical weapons is fired at Israel, then the Middle East is going to end up in a huge war. Just sayin’.

The rabid islamists, excuse me, I meant to say the wonderful freedom fighters will dress up in Syrian Army uniforms for the "candid" photo opps and then use them on civilians so Assad can be blamed. They will be used as a weapon of mass propiganda and the media will be only too happy to help.

First time I saw the headlines those were my thoughts exactly.

My thoughts were also that if the Syrian regular military has “mixed” the chemicals, it would be to make them expire and if they fell into the hands of the rebels they would be useless after 60 days. Assad is not stupid. I could be wrong though.

Afraid I agree. The US has supplied the Islamist terrorists fighting Assad with the weaponry in order to topple another secular dictator who stands in the way of creating the Greater Caliphate. Obama is behind each of these Arab Spring actions and will lead the way in creating the alliance which will attack Israel and the rest of the West.
