The Military Knows It Has a Morality Problem
National Journal ^ | December 6, 2012 | James Kitfield

It has not been a good year for America’s armed forces. David Petraeus’s extramarital affair dominated headlines; 25 instructors are under investigation for systematic sexual abuse of cadets at Lackland Air Force Base; and a rash of senior officers—at the rank of colonel or higher—have been reprimanded for serious misconduct. Last month, Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, wrote to all four-star generals and flag officers asking for institutional soul-searching. Has the military’s behavior, he seemed to be asking, threatened the “sacred trust” among top officers, the men and women they lead, and the American people? “I know you share my concern when events occur that call that trust into question,” Dempsey wrote in the memo obtained by National Journal. “We must be alert to even the perception that our Nation’s most senior officers have lost their way.”

The rot starts at the top.
Ubama and the Democrats insisted on sodomizing the US military, so there is no longer any genuine pride.
Anything goes, so who gives a rat’s ass?
The America I grew up in is dead and gone. Congratulations, Democrats. You win.

According to liberals and many here on FR, those homos and women and other affirmative action hires can do everything the men can do and will do.

“I believe that what you describe has been intentional from the get-go. “

Exactly so. This has been merely one front in the all-inclusive Communist “Great March Through the Institutions” of our nation, the Globalist dream that hinged and hinges on undermining all the strengths of our once-great bulwark against their plans of tyrannical world domination.

My only solace is that this is the military they will send against us when CWII breaks out under our “Second Lincoln.”

Yep. I sometimes wonder what Hackworth would be writing these days. My guess is that he would be constantly furious.

Not to mention your oath.

In 1950 the U.S. Army very nearly “broke” in Korea. It was very close to a total rout, and those were some very tough men, many WW2 combat vets.

Au contraire. Many of the mid-grade officers and senior NCO's were vets--but the rankers were draftees who had been coddled by a new peace-time slackness. I suggest that you read This Kind of War. But that author also talks about how senior officers copped out on standing up for high standards in order to "get along" with politicians.

We will find out otherwise to our shock and horror when we are forced into a real war, and not a drone project.

“Many” is a fact. Note, I didn’t say “most.”

And “many” tough, battle-hardened WW2 vets among the NCO and officer ranks in Korea in 1950 were barely enough to prevent the draftees from uttlerly breaking.

And those 1950 draftees were probably about ten times as tough as today’s typical video game sissies, fairies and girls that we are currently calling our volunteer military.

Today’s D.I.s say that the only muscles that our new volunteers have upon induction are their video gaming thumbs. Fat-camp and weakling camp before boot camp starts is SOP, just to get the kids ready for a few pushups and an easy jog.

And the boot camp of today is a coed affair, with “stress cards” to give the D.I.s if it just becomes to much for the little dears.

The Chinese, Russians and Iranians are smiling.

“not a drone project.”

As I have probably mentioned before, I have family that fly some top level drones. As they said, should SHTF, they are out of there as they are sitting sucks and everyone in their community knows who the pilots are. These pilots get it. They know a real CWII means their occupations are over and they want no part of those weapon systems being used on US civilians.

General Dempsey can stop lying to play leftist political correctness, first.

He blamed a protesting preacher who burnt a koran for putting our troops who are at war with Islam, in danger of angry Islamists. He denounced the first amendment if it should offend Shaira. He’s confused about who his enemies are and who his countrymen are and his loyalities are divided. He’s not an American; he’s a globalist.

In particular, he’s been spurred to speak out about dishonor and sexual immorality while pushing the integration of homosexuality (which has no sexual moral framework) into the military. He’s up-side-down and insane with the lies of political correctness.

here is a post about one of those sissies, now.....oh wait, it's actually about a total badass Marine with an MOH that had to try to bail his unit out when the Army FA wouldn't provide support.

Yeah, there aren't as many big farm boys as their used to be, but all the kids today volunteered in a time of war, to go to war. I respect them for that, and you should too.

I do. And the combat arms are very strong. But the support units.....ugh. A lot of them would save us all money just going home and going on welfare.

Mitt Romney was way ahead of the curve.

Here he is in 1994, laying out his goal of homosexualizing the military.

"One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clinton’s “don’t ask, don’t tell, don’t pursue” military policy.
I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nation’s military.
That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share."
