NYTimes Reporter: 'They Are So Much Cockier Now at the White House' Daniel Halper December 9, 2012 10:49 AM

New York Times reporter Helene Cooper explained on Meet the Press that the White House is now "cockier":

"I think when you talk about the feeling at the White House, there's a palpable difference now compared to 2011, the summer of 2011," said Cooper. "They are so much cockier right now at the White House than they were a year and a half ago when they were doing this. They really believe they have set out--you come to us, we're not going to negotiate against ourselves. We're not going to like put -- keep putting out more proposals. I mean, remember the summer of 2011, when President Obama was perceived, and they believed at the White House, that he kept making concession after concession and didn't get anywhere? They are definitely not doing that now."

Except: the House controls the purse strings, not the president.

Until they actually exercise that control, the _resident owns it.

Duh. I’ve never known thugs to act any other way, given humility is not a word in their dictionary, nor is empathy, fair play or a sense of honor (as in the virtuous kind, not the egocentric, save face kind.) Pathetic. Four more years of mussolini morphing into hitler or stalin, take your pick.

Wow. I didn’t think that it would possible for them to be cockier.

Ah yes, pride cometh before the fall. Which is mindful of this:
In the days of the Roman Republic, the imperator of a particularly successful or important military campaign was occasionally awarded a triumph. This festive ceremony featured a parade of captured bounty and prisoners, interspersed with Roman soldiers signing bawdy songs about their commander, who would wave to the cheering crowds from the back of a chariot. And behind the chariot would walk a slave, whose sole job was to whisper in the ear of the conquering hero "Remember that thou art mortal."

Gods don’t answer to mere mortals. If the MSM finds that inconvenient, the should have thought of that before they deified them.

By what perverted standard on this or any other planet, can what the jug-eared Marxist has done over the last few months be defined as "concessions". Without question, liberalism is a serious and irreparable mental illness.

But doesn’t O have every reason to be cocky? He’s negitiating with John (I’m going to cry now) Boehner.

Perhaps Helene could list the top five concessions for those of us who missed them. Helene?

Yeah, I want to see that list, too.

Who are they kidding?

Obama has never made concessions. His M.O. is to go before the cameras and say that he's "willing to listen" and is "open to other ideas".

The media dutifully swoons at his efforts to reach across the aisle to the unreasonable racist haters on the right, and his idiot supporters eat it up.

He then disregards all other ideas and proceeds to do things exactly as originally planned.

I remember how shocked I was how much the press turned against Bill Clinton, or at least against his interests, during his second term.

Just sayin.’

Parallel situation to that of 1972-1973 - Nixon was feeling “so much cockier” after coming off his re-election run, and established at the “King of the roost”.

It took most of a year and a half, but things did start unraveling for him with the few threads that were picked up on the Watergate break-in. And that was strictly small-time, nobody died, the markets were not seriously skewed, and our military capabilities still included some teeth.

With these dangling ropes and chains, from the “green-energy” loan guarantee bail-outs, the passage of a massive tax bill disguised as the “Patient Protection and Afordable Care Act”, the total “missing-in-action” response of the Current Occupant of the White Hut in Benghazi, the total smothering of ANY information that could be reliably obtained about the various aspects of this same Current Occupant prior to his arrival in Chicago, to the extralegal appointment of “czars” to oversee the most unwieldy and ineffectual set of policies since the New Deal, it seems an absolute contradiction in terms to call the current “reporting” of news events a “free press”. They do not press to learn the facts beneath the action, and they are not free. In any sense of the word.

“You ain’t seen nothin’ yet Skippy. This bunch is about to make Adolf and his Third Reich look like a bunch of choirboys. You can take that to the bank. It’s REVENGE time for Barry and his ‘RATS. About that “cliff” thing, we’re in for the ride of our lives for the next four years.”

I keep praying that God will change the heart of one of the key players in this coup and they will realize what they are enabling. One has to wonder if they don’t have children who they love and want the best for. Can’t they see that the old America offered the best to the most and that their children’s future would be happier if they were to grow up in a free America than something akin to Nazi Germany? They consider themselves intellectuals yet they cannot see this simple truth. Amazing, really. God can and does change hearts all of the time. Joing me and pray that He will change the right heart and grant courage and an army of angels to protect this would be hero. Our situation is dire and without divine intervention we are toast.

Sounds like the MSM might be complaining a bit. They are cockier because you in the MSM enabled them to be so.

Be careful to not complain too much, you just might make their list of organizations and corporations to destroy, remember do not in any way, shape, manner or form defy the obamanation, you now belong to the state, and the state can giveth and the state can taketh away.
