What sort of graphic is that -- "GSPC"? Goldman Sachs maintains some sort of index; is that a productivity index? Or a broad market index? (RUT or SPX would be better; they're more widely known.)
Plus the biggest Demographic in the country was in it’s prime working years. Now they’re all slowly going into retirement..
I wish we could see intelligent debates on TV. Don't me wrong -- Newt is an intelligent man who debates extremely well. But the medium expects interruptions, talking over each other, cries of "Baloney! Baloney!", and cutting people off just as they are about to make a cogent point. It's all about "winning" or preventing the other guy from "winning".
The general public has no real understanding of the issue sof the day, because TV and newspapers keep the discussion at such a sophomoric level.

(Republicans have made themselves useless, toothless, and clueless.)
Clinton never benefited from Reaganomics and there was no dot.com bust nor 9-11 on the heals of his presidency.

ABSOLUTELY!! Look at GDP growth on klintons 1st day as prez, better than 4%. NOW look at GDP growth on election day.2 years later, with klinton as prez and dim-0s controlling congress for the prior 2 years. GDP growth had SHRANK almost to half.
THEN, from 1995 forward, AFTER Republicans took over both houses of congress, the economy caught fire sporting some of the best times in history, INCLUDING a PROJECTED budget surplus. Incidentally, klinton NEVER submitted a budget to congress that even balanced, let alone produced a surplus, and from 1995 forward, each of his budgets were declared DOA, and replaced with budgets written by Republicans.
