Morning! Mr S is doing fine! So is his brother, who had a heart attack several weeks ago. He had a stent put in and then on Dec 5th went in again and had two more stents inserted. The men in my husbands side of the family don’t have much luck in the heart-health department!
Ugh! Yeah, Corbett said we need higher taxes. Why do we keep voting in republicans like him? I’ve met a number of people who left hubby’s bank and went to S&T.
Yeah, p6 - profits that you don’t get on a house that you already own. huh??

Rainy, yucky morning...did my fellow yinzers here on the newsbreal about the train accident in Dravissssburg? I love how they try to pronounce the towns around here.
Mr. S’s bro’s experiences sound like PaDads. We now know of so very many men (some as young as 40s) w/multiple stents. But it heals them!
I was on the road to daughter’s house when Quinn talked about the income we earn by NOT paying rent. Wow...who needs caffeine to keep alert on my long drive these mornings...I have talk radio to raise my BP!
And Corbett still hasn’t opted PA out of the ObamaCare exchanges. Ya...another RINO. What I fear is he will also fold on FED EPA usurping state control of Marcellus Shale.

The mis-pronounciations on the readio drive me bats - so does all the poor spelling on tv! What’s happened to our educational system these days? Oh yeah - TEACHERS UNIONS!
We had a group of home-schoolers touring the courthouse last week. Very bright, respectful kids who asked really good questions! I wish I had home-schooled our son! Which reminds me - son graduates from IUP on Saturday. He has a job interview in Pittsburgh tomorrow.
How’s PaDad doing? Well I hope. He’s been through more than his share of heart problems as well!

I did get to the Q&R live broadcast at Table Lakeside on Friday, but not until about 8:45. Rose had already left because she had a previous engagement. I talked to Quinn briefly, and conveyed to him greetings from our thread, but he claimed he didn’t even know we had one. :-(
Still, it was a nice event, as the Table Lakeside people offered free coffee and pastries to everyone who was there for the broadcast. Looked like a lot of people brought toys to donate.
Thx for asking—PaDad is mostly good. Heart wise we have good reports, but his sugar has been issue recently. He is now on insulin (a special pen that we are in “review” w/our insurance about coverage.). Luckily he has become a part of a UPMC research program (long term) so they help with his diabetes meds or we would be in bad shape.
I wish I could have home schooled too—grandbaby is being discussed as a Catholic school student to be. I have been starting to plan the HS seeds w/daughter. My 15 y/o (HS sophomore) floored me a few weeks back. PaDad may have to start working at a another site (No. Hills) but we have said we would never move while he was in HS. Anyways he said he would be ok... He would want to be cyber schooled so he could start college earlier.
I still don’t understand the DeMint thing. Maybe HE wants to run in 16!?!
Hi RWI! I’m glad you got to go:)...but Quinn doesn’t know we exist!?! Bummer...his loss. Forget Drudge...I think their “show prep” could be efficiently done via FR (the comments here are spot on). How many times do we think Mr. Snerdley reads the Rush thread:)
Oh—one more “Quinn”’issue. I was stunned when he used Before its News as the source for the Orly Taitz story he did earlier. Even the Above Top Secret site (which I visit for my earthquake watching) won’t permit BFN stories as links. And ATS allows some pretty fringy UFO etc posts.

Anyway Jim must have had a senior brain cramp. I am positive he knows about the Q&R thread. He has mentioned it and I think he thanked us once.
It sounded odd to me when he claimed he didn’t know about us. I remember e-mailing him back when it started. He also claimed he doesn’t have enough time to get on the internet anymore, which is very odd because I can’t imagine where else he gets his show prep.
I miss not getting this radio show in my area anymore.

Regarding the GOP - Greg, I know EXACTLY how you feel! I have been looking at the Pennsylvania Conservative Party, but on the other hand, why should WE leave the Republican party? If the Rinos don’t like the Republican party platform - which is conservative - then THEY should leave, instead of trying to change it.
The GOP is throwing conservatives under the bus, but a third party can only assure a dem win.
