Evangelical pastor and author John MacArthur said that the Democratic Party has adopted the sins of Romans 1 as their platform."
And as you know, MacArthur told his Southern California congregation on Sept. 30, Im not one to talk about politics as such, but I was essentially amazed that one of the historic parties here in the United States adopted the sins of Romans 1 as their platform. This is a new day in our country. Parties which used to differ on economics now differ dramatically on issues that invade the realm of Gods law and morality.

Culture war is getting more and more defined.
Amen. The dems also shouted down God THREE TIMES at their convention. They did likewise in recognizing Israel’s Capitol as Jeruselum....shouted it down THREE TIMES. Lastly, they mocked republican candidates because of their Christian faiths during the campaign.
Do you think that God did not notice? I don’t know when or how, but God will not be silent on this.
Take your pick: Ancient Rome, Ancient Greece, Sodom and Gammorah, contemporary Europe....we are on that path.
I don’t think the Times of the Gentiles is going to last that much longer. Things are changing rapidly.
And then America elected them into the highest office.
I think the country just voted judgement on itself.
And in its own way, reelecting Boehner as speaker, I think the GOP has voted judgement on itself too.
Look up, pray, and be prepared to be there for the people close to you when it unravels.
Been noticing that, too?
The wheat and tares are being sorted out.
And within the “church” as well.
Homosexual agenda - winnowing fork
Sarah Palin - winnowing fork
Barack Obama - winnowing fork
separating out those who fear God and those who despise Him.
God bless Dr. MacArthur
I’m waiting for motivational speaker Joel Osteen and Council of Foreign Relations member Rick Warren to weigh in on the subject.
God is not mocked!
God is not mocked!
What wonderful wise words. Thanks.
everyone, regardless of their rejection of God, will end up in heaven, because “love wins”...
Osteen is sending people to hell in a comfy wagon.
They denied Him and then they deceived when they put Him back in the platform...
I was stunned watching it unfold...
Many pointed to Peter’s denial, but Peter later begged forgiveness. I don’t see that happening with the democrats.
There is going to come a time where we will be called out and slaughtered.
Osteen and his “feel good” preaching is so weak. The pastors these day are scared to preach about the punishment of sin.
Same here. I was in shock watching it. We are being sifted.
They’re under the delusion that keeping them coming back is more important than telling them the truth,
some of it is monetary, but a lot is just the worldly/humanistic culture of not offending non-Christians.
The author of “Love Wins” is Rob Bell, formerly the pastor of the Mars Hill megachurch in western Michigan.
Ah, my mistake...
They preach about the same kinda thing, though, right?
Well -- no, not yet, to be precise. That will happen at the harvest, when His angels do the reaping, and reject evil things and people fom entering His Kingdom (See Mt. 13:36-43).
But MacArthur narrows this down to Democrats, whereas one should compare not only the theology and practice of that Party's platform, but also the statement of faith and practice of each of the major denominations, as well as the personal religion as practiced politically of the defeated nominees in the last general election.
"There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one" (Rom. 3:11,12).
They all seem to be in the hand of the wicked one. Just look at them. How is your theology? How is mine? We need to turn to the Holy Scriptures and find out, conduct a personal inventory.
"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in The Faith; prove your own selves ..." (2 Cor. 13:5a,b,c)
Democrats said “No!” to God Three Times
did Osteen really say that??
I honestly do not know, I don’t pay attention to either one of them. I only know about Bell because coincidently our local paper ran a story about Bell and his fall from grace at his church just this morning.
My mistake, it was Rob Bell.
It's just a matter of time.

I don’t understand your comment, “No wonder his “hero” is who he claims all the time. “
However, the story at the link is absolutely disgusting. Brian Williams is a complete scumbag. I say that as an American male and the father of three grown daughters.
look at the church of today. many of the mainstream denominations have gone the way of liberalism - womens ordination, gay leadership, gay marriage - where are these churches going - nowhere.
today’s christian church is being tested in America. the testing will weed out the sheep and the wolves. True Christianity will win out. The problem though is America must go through a purging of its falsely held beliefs. There will be a time of trial and tribulation. The Christian Church of the uSA will go through a purging, and in time the Christian Church of the USA will not be recognizable as the big churches of today. There are many false teachers whom believe bigger is better, similar to a Centralized Government.
Tell Me is Rick Warren’s Church winning people to Christ whom can stand the the time of tribulation weaning out of the chaff from the wheat. I do not believe so. What about Joel Osteen? Where is the Crystal cathedral of California?
Wickedness does not have more power than God. This would be a non-Biblical dualism that both God and the Devil have equal power here on earth. It is man’s easy believism that makes forth weak christians that have been feed only milk toast and no substance when trials and tribulations do appear. I am not saying the rapture, I am saying that the Church will be tested. I strongly believe this will be the testing whereby family members turn against one another, neighbors turn in neighbors for their strong convictions in Christ Jesus.
Sins of Romans 1:18 - 32 are the following (with emphasis of the sins listed in verses):
18 - wrath of God is revealed from heaven on unrighteusness and ungodliness.
21 - Denial of God. unthankfulness, , futile in the actions and deeds, and foolish hearts darkened.
22- wisdom has become folly.
23 - glory of God which is incorruptibe to a corruptible Glory of Man
24 - Therefore God gave them up in their uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts to dishonor their bodies among.
25 - exchanged the truth of God for a lie. served the creature not the Creator (God)
26 -God gave them up to their evil passions, even their women exchanged what was natural for the unnatural
27 - Men lusting for men.
28 - God not retained. Debasement of man to that which is not fitting.
29 - unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, coveteousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil mindedness, they are whispereres,
30 - backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 - undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful
32- knowing the righteous judgement of God - these people have denied Him, and are deserving of death
Romans 2-16 goes on with God’s Judgement and God’s desire for relationship with the ungodly.
Macarthur hasn’t been paying too much attention to the GOP stances either, apparently.
It has been well defined for over 6000 years but is getting defined once again because the lessons keep getting ignored or forgotten by the unrepentant sinners of mankind. Americans have forgotten the lessons of not only biblical history but their own.
The flood won't happen again but I wouldn't put the judgment culminating in the two complete destructions of Jerusalem and the scattering of the Jewish peoples off the American table...
The Republicans arent a whole lot better. Nor is the majority of the population of this country. There is no church organization that holds true anymore and those that claim they do are wishy washy on way to much. Its everyone for themselves in these last days. Belonging to any organization has become very dangerous.
Williams is an Obot.
I know what you mean CB and right now I don't belong to any church congregation. However while I was for many years it was that "everyone for themselves" that kept me going for so long. The pull of organizations is strong and has many numbers. It was not easy to be there
knowing thinking that were I to reveal all that I believed I would possibly have been...well I don't know really...I had the impression they considered me radical. From God's Spirit I kept getting...'this is between Me and thee' so the constant looking down because of what was happening around me in church (and everywhere else)said much about my relationship with Jesus.
What I thought was encouraging and edifying to others in church was seemingly met with apathy.Or it wasn't understood. It seems that much of Christianity simply does not understand or comprehend John 6:29 I'm glad of the fellowship here with many believers having no trouble holding up His Word as THE authority to which all others must account.
I don't think we will all stay away from organizations for ever.It may be that the whole reason we aren't there now is that we might go there later one last time,if you get my drift.
I certainly understand the sentiment HD however I think what the church really needs to be doing is the work of God because when that sinks in folks will be on their knees thanking God for that goofiness and "prophecy unto us smooth things" will fart and fly out the window.
Amen to that!
Oh I get your drift! And we most certainly will. But it wont be an organization the way most think of that term. An assembly would be the word I would use. Looking forward to seeing you there!
And let me say I understand the blank looks and apathy of many in those organizations. I slowly began to understand that not all had that personal relationship but were only there either because of tradition, guilt, or some need to belong. Indeed it is a blessing to find true followers here and it brought a smile to my face reading your post but also the sadness that one gets realizing how many are really not there.
I agree with the general drift of your observation, but I must say that I do not think that it is Biblically correct to use the terms "the church of today," nor "christian church ... in America," nor "the Christian Church of the USA," and the like, where some singular universal, invisible church entity is in view. The existence of such an earthly "church" in the singular as constituted of many local assemblies integrated under one authority over a wide area is an assumption but unprovable, unmentioned, and unwarranted from the Bible. Any such a term is always, always, described as "churches," in the plural.
In the Bible, the singular term "church" always and only refers to one local, independent, autonomous regular assembly of believer-disciples regularly congregating for the Breaking of The Bread in remembrance of His Passion; for baptizing only confessing regenerated believer-disciples (not infants or merely unregenerated convert-believers); for teaching in how to preach the Gospel and to know and keep all the commandments of The Christ watchfully and securely without change -- without rewording, without diminishing, or embellishment; and for exercising unfeigned love of Christ and the brethren. Therefore, of course, you will not find many such churches today meeting these conditions, without careful observation and spiritual discernment.
I do believe the Bible only mentions local, independent, autonomous assemblies (churches) of immersed believers who maintain their identification with/in/of The Christ by faithful Scriptural preaching and teaching, and by church discipline administered by a plurality of elders. The spiritual condition of such a church depends on a continuous training to maturity of disciples by disciplers.
The only (to us) invisible body of The Christ I recognize is the general assembly (paneguis) and church (ekklaysia) of the firstborn (from the dead ones, the Savior) which are written in heaven.
(My assertion here will likely bring the spite of Romanists and Hellenists of this site down on my head, as well as perhaps of a few Baptist/immersionists incorrectly indoctrinated.) That is why the assembly I attend is a local, fundamental, independent immersionist New Testament fellowship.
Remember, Jesus prophesied that in the last days, after the beginning of sorrows, the sovereign preference of the many (hoi polloi) for The Christ, over self and others, would grow cold, because of the abundance of iniquity (Mt. 24:12), which is washing over those calling themselves "Christians" today, as you say, who still associate themselves closely with worldly pursuits.
“Macarthur hasnt been paying too much attention to the GOP stances either, apparently.”
The GOP takes stances? Who knew?!?!
A wide one, like Larry Craig.
So many of these big showy preachers are nothing more than motivational speakers. I think Rev. Samuel Rodriguez is also a CFR plant. If you don’t know who he is, he is the apostle of illegal alien amnesty and the Dream Act. He has wrapped Baptist leader Richard Land and tv preacher Pat Robertson around his little finger. Rodriguez’ assignment is no doubt to get around the biggest obstacle to stopping illegal immigration—the conservative Christian.
If you are a good Christian, G-d will give you a mcmansion. LOL
