Evangelical pastor and author John MacArthur said that the Democratic Party has “adopted the sins of Romans 1 as their platform."

“And as you know,” MacArthur told his Southern California congregation on Sept. 30, “I’m not one to talk about politics as such, but I was essentially amazed that one of the historic parties here in the United States adopted the sins of Romans 1 as their platform. This is a new day in our country. Parties which used to differ on economics now differ dramatically on issues that invade the realm of God’s law and morality.” …

Warren already weighed in on at least one subject a fortnight ago.

The author of “Love Wins” is Rob Bell, formerly the pastor of the Mars Hill megachurch in western Michigan.

The wheat and tares are being sorted out. And within the “church” as well.

Well -- no, not yet, to be precise. That will happen at the harvest, when His angels do the reaping, and reject evil things and people fom entering His Kingdom (See Mt. 13:36-43).

But MacArthur narrows this down to Democrats, whereas one should compare not only the theology and practice of that Party's platform, but also the statement of faith and practice of each of the major denominations, as well as the personal religion as practiced politically of the defeated nominees in the last general election.

"There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one" (Rom. 3:11,12).

They all seem to be in the hand of the wicked one. Just look at them. How is your theology? How is mine? We need to turn to the Holy Scriptures and find out, conduct a personal inventory.

"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in The Faith; prove your own selves ..." (2 Cor. 13:5a,b,c)

Thanks ---

Yep , that is why they voted for a bramble to reign over them . They will be shocked when the fire from the bramble starts devouring them too.(see Judges 9)

I honestly do not know, I don’t pay attention to either one of them. I only know about Bell because coincidently our local paper ran a story about Bell and his fall from grace at his church just this morning.

Do you think that God did not notice? I don’t know when or how, but God will not be silent on this.

It's just a matter of time.

I don’t understand your comment, “No wonder his “hero” is who he claims all the time. “

However, the story at the link is absolutely disgusting. Brian Williams is a complete scumbag. I say that as an American male and the father of three grown daughters.

look at the church of today. many of the mainstream denominations have gone the way of liberalism - womens ordination, gay leadership, gay marriage - where are these churches going - nowhere.

today’s christian church is being tested in America. the testing will weed out the sheep and the wolves. True Christianity will win out. The problem though is America must go through a purging of its falsely held beliefs. There will be a time of trial and tribulation. The Christian Church of the uSA will go through a purging, and in time the Christian Church of the USA will not be recognizable as the big churches of today. There are many false teachers whom believe bigger is better, similar to a Centralized Government.

Tell Me is Rick Warren’s Church winning people to Christ whom can stand the the time of tribulation weaning out of the chaff from the wheat. I do not believe so. What about Joel Osteen? Where is the Crystal cathedral of California?

Wickedness does not have more power than God. This would be a non-Biblical dualism that both God and the Devil have equal power here on earth. It is man’s easy believism that makes forth weak christians that have been feed only milk toast and no substance when trials and tribulations do appear. I am not saying the rapture, I am saying that the Church will be tested. I strongly believe this will be the testing whereby family members turn against one another, neighbors turn in neighbors for their strong convictions in Christ Jesus.

Sins of Romans 1:18 - 32 are the following (with emphasis of the sins listed in verses):
18 - wrath of God is revealed from heaven on unrighteusness and ungodliness.
21 - Denial of God. unthankfulness, , futile in the actions and deeds, and foolish hearts darkened.
22- wisdom has become folly.
23 - glory of God which is incorruptibe to a corruptible Glory of Man
24 - Therefore God gave them up in their uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts to dishonor their bodies among.
themselves
25 - exchanged the truth of God for a lie. served the creature not the Creator (God)
26 -God gave them up to their evil passions, even their women exchanged what was natural for the unnatural
27 - Men lusting for men.
28 - God not retained. Debasement of man to that which is not fitting.
29 - unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, coveteousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil mindedness, they are whispereres,
30 - backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 - undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful
32- knowing the righteous judgement of God - these people have denied Him, and are deserving of death

Romans 2-16 goes on with God’s Judgement and God’s desire for relationship with the ungodly.

Macarthur hasn’t been paying too much attention to the GOP stances either, apparently.

Culture war is getting more and more defined.

So true.

It has been well defined for over 6000 years but is getting defined once again because the lessons keep getting ignored or forgotten by the unrepentant sinners of mankind. Americans have forgotten the lessons of not only biblical history but their own.

The flood won't happen again but I wouldn't put the judgment culminating in the two complete destructions of Jerusalem and the scattering of the Jewish peoples off the American table...

The Republicans aren’t a whole lot better. Nor is the majority of the population of this country. There is no church organization that holds true anymore and those that claim they do are wishy washy on way to much. It’s everyone for themselves in these last days. Belonging to any organization has become very dangerous.

John MacArthur is one of the few preachers who isn't afraid to tell it like it is. It's about time other Christians quit preaching this "God loves us" goofiness and started preaching about the sorry morale decline we're in.

While the above is from Isaiah, we have entered the time of Jeremiah. They too thought God loved them.

"It’s everyone for themselves in these last days. Belonging to any organization has become very dangerous."

I know what you mean CB and right now I don't belong to any church congregation. However while I was for many years it was that "everyone for themselves" that kept me going for so long. The pull of organizations is strong and has many numbers. It was not easy to be there knowing thinking that were I to reveal all that I believed I would possibly have been...well I don't know really...I had the impression they considered me radical. From God's Spirit I kept getting...'this is between Me and thee' so the constant looking down because of what was happening around me in church (and everywhere else)said much about my relationship with Jesus.

What I thought was encouraging and edifying to others in church was seemingly met with apathy.Or it wasn't understood. It seems that much of Christianity simply does not understand or comprehend John 6:29 I'm glad of the fellowship here with many believers having no trouble holding up His Word as THE authority to which all others must account.

I don't think we will all stay away from organizations for ever.It may be that the whole reason we aren't there now is that we might go there later one last time,if you get my drift.

I certainly understand the sentiment HD however I think what the church really needs to be doing is the work of God because when that sinks in folks will be on their knees thanking God for that goofiness and "prophecy unto us smooth things" will fart and fly out the window.
