Your medical plan is facing an unexpected expense, so you probably are, too. Its a new, $63-per-head fee to cushion the cost of covering people with pre-existing conditions under President Obamas health care overhaul.
The charge, buried in a recent regulation, works out to tens of millions of dollars for the largest companies, employers say. Most of that is likely to be passed on to workers...

Sure no big deal but it’s still free though. Just ask all the useful idiots.
Thank you Chief Justice of the United States...may I have another, sir ?
Umm... how do they get my $63.00 if i don’t have insurance?
No wonder the insurance companies backed this monstrosity.
More collusion. Nothing short of a wholesale rebellion against this POS will stop it. Lets see them throw everybody in jail the bastards.
One time? Per year? Per month?
However it’s figured (I’d guess annually) it’s a ding on everyone.
This monkey business needs to stop.
Communal Medical Tax File.
Heil Obama! The Dictator from Hell!
Wait a minute here... shouldn’t this be deductible? I mean, you know... since we are paying for individuals that are dependent on us to pay for it. Why shouldn’t we be able to call them dependents for the sake of somehow deferring this cost? Isn’t everybody supposed to have some “skin in the game”?
I’d guess it is NOT a one time fee, but $63 per year, but it just might be per month knowing these people.

Yeah...riiiiight! We all know how truthful the Obama administration has been.
My father always said, there is no such thing as a temporary tax. And if anyone thinks the amount will go down, I have some prime swamp land to sell you.
And to those 3 million Republican idiots who stayed home on election night to show what "true Patriots" you were; GO F*CK YOURSELVES!
You must pay for insurance under Obamacare. Either an insurance premium, or a penalty for not having insurance.
Only the “poor” will be exempt because they will have “free” insurance.
It shouldn’t say “per person.” It should say “per slave” or “per worker” or something like that. The perpetual leeches and parasites will continue to pay nothing. (And, just to make it clear, I’m not talking about those who are unemployed and looking or who gave up.)
And that’s just the start.
More people voted for Romney than for McCain.
60,782,804 Romney 2012
59,948,323 McCain 2008
At the current count.
My parents always said and say the same thing about “temp” taxes.
I noticed how our masters slipped in that we might have to forever pay this, to SUPPOSEDLY (yeah, right) pay down the deficit.
Oh, it won't be free for long. EVERYBODY is going to end up paying for this monstrosity...EVERYBODY. There aren't enough Rich and working middle class to pay for this beast. It's only a matter of time, but everybody will indeed pay for this...and more.
Yep, but 3 million sat home because Obama and Romney...well, they’re exactly the same. F-ing idiots!
I voted for Palin and Ryan.
Or voted for the Libertarian guy, Ron Paul or some other no-name third party non-entity.
>>> Only the poor will be exempt because they will have free insurance.
Based on my Christian beliefs, I find health insurance to be a form of gambling like the Muslims do.
Muslims are specifically exempted for this reason in the healthcare law.
I claim the same exemption.
Denying me this right under the religious clause of the healthcare law would be a violation of my civil rights, as well as a violation of the establishment of religion clause in the constitution.
Good Point. Those in the Wagon and those pulling the Wagon.
Who gets to make the call?
Same situation when your glass is at the halfway mark. Are you an optimist or a pessimist, IOW is your glass half full or half empty?
Clue: It all depends on whether your are pouring or drinking.
I noted in the first debate that obama said that he liked the name "Obamacare". Sure, same as pharaoh enjoyed his power over the slaves, determining who lived and who died.
There was an early example of even the Egyptians thwarting pharaohcare, when the midwives told pharaoh that hey, those Hebrew women deliver 'em fast... before we can get there [to kill off the boys].
You have to fill out an exemption form and be approved via a waiver; that is in the 1400+ page monstrosity...
Now the constitutional argument on the other hand is different - you have to show injury to have standing, so get in line and pay your taxes. Oh, and get back to work so the mooch and her effete husband can live and party in Hawaii off taxes taken from your hard-earned paycheck, serf!
Tallest midget little person in the room! There were/are both losers.
Surprised to see the local ABC TV news program carry a bit on this tonight - not much longer than the headline, but the sort of story the Regime probably wants to keep quiet and enough to start people thinking and talking.....
“And to those 3 million Republican idiots who stayed home on election night to show what “true Patriots” you were; GO F*CK YOURSELVES!”
Amen Brother!
>>> You have to fill out an exemption form
Really? Have you seen this form? looked to me like the law explicitly exempts them. Besides, if there is a form, I seriously doubt it has a “Christian” checkbox... so again, I would not be able to fill it out properly.
>>> you have to show injury to have standing
Would 1.5 million unborn babies being decapitated qualify?
I would claim that as injury to my conscience, thus my mental health. Hell.. I’m allready going crazy because of all the murder I’ve allready paid for with my taxes.
Maybe I should just sue.
“No wonder the insurance companies backed this monstrosity.”
That’s right, along with their pushing for their Massachusetts loser.
Any of the insurance companies go out of business in Massachusetts?
Fascism.
Put the blame on where it lies, Mitt Romney and the GOP left.
Just refuting the often heard claim that Romney got 3M less votes than McCain. It was a big story right after the election, with threads here as well.
Romney is actually close to having 1M more votes than McCain.
It will phase out completely in 2017 unless Congress, with lawmakers searching everywhere for revenue to reduce federal deficits decides to extend the fees.
(no worries, they never extend fees....)
Well, ain't that a kicker....
Guess they crunched the numbers and realized the 'tanning tax' wasn't going to completely foot the bill for the entitled.
I wonder if the $5.25/mo will be taken out before or after taxes?
As the old saying goes...If you think health care is expensive now, just wait until it’s free.
It’s asking much too much of a reporter to include such esoteric, highly technical details!
Levin Rule, you Vote your Candidate in the Primary and you Vote your Party's Candidate in the General.
The mistake was very simple, Republicans Hope people are smart, but Democrats Know people are stupid.
Doesn't matter anyway, the Republic as we knew it is over.
Cut other benefits or withhold raises or pass it on to customers. Nothing is free.
Sadly, I'm sure the IRS will have some say on that.
I get your point about the murder (abortion), but you have been paying for that for a long time. The obamacronies would admit to that just to show that you had standing years ago and should’ve sued then...
I have not personally seen a/”the” form, but there was a post within the last two weeks here on FR that had the section of the law that stated you had to apply for the waiver - you had to send in a form/request. I will look for it and send you a link if I can find it.
Perhaps a strongly worded letter through some ‘nadless UN council would do the trick ;)
You have to apply for a waiver (there may not be a form). There is a form for other waiver requests WRT the ACA (by providers and businesses). That may be what I was thinking about, but I could swear that I read about an individual waiver form also. (Why wouldn't there be a form for this? It is government you know... they have forms for filling out other forms).
>>> but there was a post within the last two weeks here on FR that had the section of the law that stated you had to apply for the waiver - you had to send in a form/request. I will look for it and send you a link if I can find it.
Thank you, but don’t bother.
Assuming the form is there, I am convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that any such request for a waiver would not have a snowball’s chance in hell coming from a republican, let alone a christian.
Besides... for me to make any attempt to comply with the law by seeking legal grounds to work within that law (i.e. submitting forms) would be granting it a level of authority and credence it does not deserve.
If they... (oops) WHEN they pass a law that bans all handguns, I would not submit a form requesting permission to keep mine. I would require them to first find out I have one, and then second to come and get it from me.
“Besides... for me to make any attempt to comply with the law by seeking legal grounds to work within that law (i.e. submitting forms) would be granting it a level of authority and credence it does not deserve.”
I couldn’t agree more with the sentiment.
Judge Roberts is a Benedict Arnold! But hey, he has his top-notch medical insurance provided for by the American taxpayers, so why should he care about the law?
I also had to cancel my medical insurance.
When I get sick next year, I might be able to afford to see a doctor at a walk in clinic, or the VA.
When I get really sick, I will not be able to work, will lose my job, and thus become eligiable for “free health care”.
Yeah, not the best plan, but I really do need to eat food to survive, and since I can still work, I am not entitled to free food, rent, electricity, transportation, communications or health care.
(balance redacted because...wow look at that squirrel!)
