Federal Court Hearing Today in Defense of Tulsa Police Captain Punished for Refusing..

Today, Robert J. Muise, Co-Founder and Senior Counsel of the American Freedom Law Center (AFLC), is presenting oral argument at a hearing in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma on behalf of Captain Paul Fields, a Tulsa police officer who was summarily punished for refusing to attend a mandated Islamic proselytizing event held at a local mosque.

The hearing will be held before Chief Judge Gregory K. Frizzell at 1:30 p.m. CT in Room 411 at the federal courthouse located at 333 West Fourth Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The media and public are welcome to attend.

Muise will be arguing in support of AFLC’s motion for summary judgment, which asserts that the undisputed facts demonstrate that the City of Tulsa and its senior police officials retaliated against Captain Fields – a practicing Christian – for exercising his constitutional right to the free exercise of religion.

If it was a Christian proselytizing event, it would be forbidden.

Keep us informed. We should aid this officer as much as possible.

As for the Muslims...get back into your time machine and return to the distant past. We despise you, loathe you, and sooner or later will be at war with you.

Again.

I am rather surprised that the local Christian leaders have not become involved in this in a big way.

They need an example punishment for this officer, lest no one would attend these brainwashing sessions.

“This country is f*cked far worse than I imagined.”

Not f*cked, but screwed up the fundment and out the navel, as in Vlad Tepes. Being f*cked can be fun; screwed that way is always a horrible bummer.

Muslim law being practiced in OK. Amazing.

So the general population of America decided it no longer wanted to follow after God in freedom, and rejected Him.

Now it will be forced to follow after Satan or be punished.

Fitting... Trading freedom for slavery. Morality for the imoral.

Now we slaughter our own babies in their mothers wombs for prosperity, and are forced to endure Homosexual “re-education” while the treasury is looted by Marxists.

I liked the old days of prosperity, and “In God we trust”.

Frankly, it worked a whole lot better than all this political correctness and hopey changey garbage.

Forcing people into religion is one of the reasons we left England way back when, wasn’t it.

It was so important, they included in the Constitution to prevent government from establishing a religion.

I guess it’s that pesky “living document” we call the Constitution, just like liberals it changes ideology to adapt to specific and individual needs in order to further the cause.

I can’t blame the cop, I would have told them to shove it, too.

They're working on it but the tyrants in the appeals court overturned the people's will. Federal court blocks Oklahoma ban on Shariah law 11JAN12 OKLAHOMA CITY – An amendment that would ban Oklahoma courts from considering international or Islamic law discriminates against religions and a Muslim community leader has the right to challenge its constitutionality, a federal appeals court said Tuesday. The court in Denver upheld U.S. District Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange's order blocking implementation of the amendment shortly after it was approved by 70 percent of Oklahoma voters in November 2010. Muneer Awad, the executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Oklahoma, sued to block the law from taking effect, arguing that the Save Our State Amendment violated his First Amendment rights." They sided w/ Cair-Hamas.

...Once again{unfortunately}it seems as though most of the respondents have been living on the Moon for the last twenty years. Oklahoma has been a hotbed of Islamic growth and influence for quite some time now , including the undeniable signature left for all the world to see at the old Fed Bldg. This event predated 911,however,when the Islamic world saw the burning remains of Christians in Waco endorsed by the then present administration it became as a beacon to them, which guided them to even more atrocities ,and rest assured, they are watching and learning from the present administration as well.

It is long past time to stop treating black-robes as gods.

When they usurp constitutions it is time to make life difficult for them.

If we had a real Congress, the chick tyrant judge would be fearing for her job. Her compatriots on the appeals court should be fearing for theirs as well.

Unfortunately, we are so corrupt as to probably be fit for nothing other than despotic government.

“It is long past time to stop treating black-robes as gods.”

I agree. It is time for state governments to simply advise these judges that based on the 10th Amendment the state will not accept the arbitrary ruling of an individual federal judge.

What is the judge going to do?

Its really reaching the point where more vigorous actions need to be taken to effectuate the defense of America against enemies from within.

If Sharia doesn’t constitute an Establishment of religion, I don’t know what does, and if it doesn’t bans against Christian prayer and creches certainly don’t either.

These damn judges and courts need to be dealt with - one way or another.

Bookmark graphic. One of your best to date!!!

When I saw it, I also recalled a news item I just heard about yesterday. Did title search; not posted as a thread.

Only sightly OT [mandatory re-education for future workers]:

New Curricula Will Substitute Government Manuals for Classic Literature
http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2012/12/08/new-curricula-will-substitute-government-manuals-for-classic-literature/

American literature classics are to be replaced by insulation manuals and plant inventories in US classrooms by 2014....

A new school curriculum which will affect 46 out of 50 states will make it compulsory for at least 70 per cent of books studied to be non-fiction, in an effort to ready pupils for the workplace.

Books such as JD Salinger’s Catcher in the Rye and Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird will be replaced by “informational texts” approved by the Common Core State Standards.

Suggested non-fiction texts include Recommended Levels of Insulation by the the US Environmental Protection Agency, and the Invasive Plant Inventory, by California’s Invasive Plant Council.

The new educational standards have the backing of the influential National Governors’ Association and the Council of Chief State School Officers, and are being part-funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

IF the liberals want to insist we have freedom FROM religion, then they cannot in any honesty punish this man.
Because if they do, they are advocating a religion...

Our Constitution provides Congress with powers to deal with rogue judges and presidents.

Not long ago, I would have suggested we put pressure on Congress to do its job and defend representative government.

Nowadays, considering the fact of Hussein's continuance in power and the near certain demise of our republic, I agree with you. I hope state governors understand and act on the fact that they can do a lot to stymie the statists.

Judge Dismisses Capt. Paul Fields’ Case Against City Of Tulsa

TULSA, Oklahoma -

A federal judge has ruled against Tulsa Police Captain Paul Fields and his law suit against the City of Tulsa.

He had sued the city after being disciplined for refusing to attend or order his officers to attend a law enforcement appreciation day event at a mosque.

Fields said following that order violated his religious rights.

The judge said Fields did not have to attend, but had the option to send others, so his religious rights were not violated.

The judge added, even if Fields had been ordered to go, he did not have to partake of the religious services being offered at the event.
