JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN, NOVEMBER 27, 2012Ongoing violence in South Sudans Jonglei state has had a devastating impact on tens of thousands of people, with many forcibly displaced and further cut off from health care due to the destruction of medical facilities, the international medical humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) said in a report released today.
"Some paint the conflict as racial (Arabs in the central government vs. Africans in the South) or as religious (Muslims vs. Christians and Traditional African Religions). Scholars such as Douglas Johnson have pointed at exploitative governance as the root cause."
"This act was taken without consultation with southerners, who feared being subsumed by the political power of the larger north. Southern Sudan is inhabited primarily by Christians and animists and considers itself culturally sub-Saharan, while most of the north is inhabited by Muslims who were culturally Arabic."
JUST ANOTHER LESSON IN WORLD CULTURE. The Doctors without Borders article would lead one to believe these people were just running around massacring each other.
FURTHER INVESTIGATION reveals the REAL root cause of the problem: ISLAM.
Now WHY aren't black American "spokesmen" and "leaders", like the jackel in the White House, and white bleeding heart liberal politicians concerned about THIS problem??
Can you spell P-E-T-R-O-D-O-L-L-A-R-S?
South Sudan is not Moslem. Why do you blame Islam for the problem described by MSF?
Uh, because the raiders coming into the South Sudan creating the mess are Muslims - that’s why. The Muslims were attacking and persecuting the South Sudanese when it was part of the Sudan which was the reason it separated from the Arab, Muslim north.
Guess the Norhtern Arab Sudanese miss making slaves of the men, sex slaves of the women and crucifying the south Sudanese Christians.
It is inter-tribal conflict now in South Sudan, not Muslim vs non-Muslim.
I find that hard to believe.
