New CNN programming chief Jeff Zucker will reportedly replace Soledad O'Brien, the host of the network's morning show "Starting Point," with Erin Burnett, who currently hosts "Outfront," which airs at 7 p.m. on the struggling cable news network.
The New York Post reported that Zucker is looking at Erin Burnett to revive the cablers moribund morning ratings and quotes a CNN source who said Zucker will team Burnett up with a guy, and theyll go after the audience watching Today and Good Morning America." O'Brien recently told a college audience that when she first heard of Zucker's hire, she thought, "Yes!" because Zucker "knows news. He knows winning. He knows morning TV.
To me, Jeff Zucker is synonymous with winning, OBrien said last week at Drexel University, according to Media Bistro. Hes an incredible news executive. I want to be on a team that strategizes how to win. Its great to have a leader Im thrilled.
Apparently, Zucker believes CNN's best chance to win the ratings race in the morning is without O'Brien.

Re-arranging deck chairs and all that.
I wonder if the new chick has big boobs. Is she a hottie?
That would be MY only reason for watching her and CNN.
Did Soledad quit to go work for Jay Carney?
Shoulda gone with Conan O’Brien.
Burnett is the only person on CNN who acts like she thinks she is an American.
Guess they will work on her until she adopts CNN pro-globalist, pro-statist worldview.
a reshuffling of leftist twits.
She is very pretty.
Translation: “We’re in HD now, and Burnett is 10 years younger than O’Brien.”
In preparation for the 2014 House elections the DNC is offering key media figures a 6 month training seminar...
eye spacing is a bit tight on this one..
She has pretty blue eyes and is Carol Burnett’s daughter.
Humor, not fact.
Or is it?
Who? With who?
I had a 1971 Ford F100 and was always replacing the soledad on that sucker.
I remember when she called George W. "a monkey".
She's too far left for CNBC...maybe a little right of most of the commies at CNN.
Carol Burnett? Realllllly?
If so, then I think it would be a fitting tribute if she, on her debut replacing the racist OBrien, re-enacted Carol’s famous “Tarahrahrah” sequence.....(fashioning her ball gown out of the curtains -and curtain rod, too.)
