REPORT: CNN TO REPLACE SOLEDAD O'BRIEN WITH ERIN BURNETT
Breitbart.com ^ | 12/11/2012 | Tony Lee

Posted on 12/11/2012 11:50:51 AM PST by Domandred

New CNN programming chief Jeff Zucker will reportedly replace Soledad O'Brien, the host of the network's morning show "Starting Point," with Erin Burnett, who currently hosts "Outfront," which airs at 7 p.m. on the struggling cable news network.

The New York Post reported that Zucker is “looking at Erin Burnett to revive the cabler’s moribund morning ratings” and quotes a CNN source who said Zucker will team Burnett “up with a guy, and they’ll go after the audience watching ‘Today’ and ‘Good Morning America.’" O'Brien recently told a college audience that when she first heard of Zucker's hire, she thought, "Yes!" because Zucker "knows news. He knows winning. He knows morning TV.”

“To me, Jeff Zucker is synonymous with winning,” O’Brien said last week at Drexel University, according to Media Bistro. “He’s an incredible news executive. I want to be on a team that strategizes how to win. It’s great to have a leader … I’m thrilled.”

Apparently, Zucker believes CNN's best chance to win the ratings race in the morning is without O'Brien.

Re-arranging deck chairs and all that.

I wonder if the new chick has big boobs. Is she a hottie?

That would be MY only reason for watching her and CNN.

Burnett is the only person on CNN who acts like she thinks she is an American.

Guess they will work on her until she adopts CNN pro-globalist, pro-statist worldview.

She's not Carol Burnett's daughter.

I remember when she called George W. "a monkey".

She's too far left for CNBC...maybe a little right of most of the commies at CNN.

Carol Burnett? Realllllly?

If so, then I think it would be a fitting tribute if she, on her debut replacing the racist OBrien, re-enacted Carol’s famous “Tarahrahrah” sequence.....(fashioning her ball gown out of the curtains -and curtain rod, too.)

FALSE

Carol Burnett has a daughter named Erin Hamilton, not to be confused with Erin Burnett who is not related.

She’s pretty. I kind of liked her on CNBC, but she’d show up on MSNBC, and there isn’t a doubt she’s a lefty. She’s also very high maintenance.

8 Ways to Impress Me
To draw the attention of CNBC anchor Erin Burnett away from the ticker, think schedule savers and travel

1. Pack Your Bags

Any guy who can plan a trip to an exotic locale, such as Mongolia, Mozambique, or Papua New Guinea, would impress me.

2. Buy Me a New Atlas and Globe

You could unlock my heart by allowing me to dream up my next trip. I love to travel, and hope to eventually set foot in 100 countries. I have many more to go.

3. Do Something Special for My Parents

Family is important to me, so round-trip business-class tickets to Australia and New Zealand for my parents would earn you big points in my book.

4. Relax Me

Yoga keeps me calm, so I’d be impressed if you thought to send a yoga instructor to my apartment for private sessions.

5. Help Me Work Out

Finding an exercise bike at my door would be great for rainy days when my Raleigh M80 mountain bike and I are stuck indoors.

6. Edify Me

Reading is a passion of mine, so a gathering with a couple of my favorite authors, especially Jared Diamond (Guns, Germs, and Steel) and Robin McKinley (The Blue Sword) would make for an exceptional evening.

7. Please My Palate

Hiring a personal chef to prepare meals for the few nights a week I am home would be unforgettable.

8. Send Me Packing

A man who recognizes the importance of my time with the girls is a keeper. A long weekend spa getaway for my sisters and me would be perfection.

Guess they will work on her until she adopts CNN pro-globalist, pro-statist worldview.

Well, she is already a CFR member....

Still, she does frequently offer a(somewhat)pro-business counter-point when confronted with her anti-business(CNN/BSNBC type)socialist guests.

Soledad always came across as an angry, bitter, smarmy toad. "Journalists" like her are Saul Alinsky tactics scholars who are there to push "the agenda".

More and more of them(in media and politics)are filling up the airwaves. Look for "Rules for Radicals" to be the text of choice for the foreseeable future in academia...as smear tactics appear to be far more effective(elections, etc.)...than presenting facts/opposing views in a respectable way.

Soledad has never worked outside TV news.

Erin's wiki page says she "began her career as a financial analyst for Goldman Sachs[13] in its investment banking division, where she worked on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance", which implies that she knows something beyond what her teleprompter tells her.

O’Brien is worse than Burnett.

But Burnett is no Jake Tapper (liberal but won’t drink the Kool-Aid), either. Burnett shows plenty of bias, just, less than the openly hateful O’Brien.

She’s not dumb; she has a degree in economics from Williams College. I watched several thoughtful interviews she conducted while at CNBC. She actually listened to the responses to her questions and followed up appropriately when necessary. She is much more than a teleprompter reader. Doesn’t mean she is sympathetic to conservatism, though.

I imagine O'Brien isn't this excited anymore and the word "racism" might be floating around her noggin right now. "
