Sonia Sotomayor reveals that her husband brought a bag of Quaaludes to their wedding night
Daily Mail ^ | 12/11/12

She also told other unusually personal stories about her upbringing in the Bronx, like how she unknowingly brought her cousin to a drug den where he shot up heroin. Sotomayor went on to describe how her personal health battle with diabetes caused her to fear dying at a young age and, in turn, stopped her from having children. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor told of these intimate stories about her upbringing in her memoir, titled 'My Beloved World', which is due to be released in January.

Harvard Law grad and WSJ and National Journal commentator has said the problem with the Supreme Court is that it has people with very limited scope, all lawyers. Wonder what he will say about this “scope”.

The emotional aspects confusing a judicial decision on Constitutionality (a matter of factual law) is made even worse by the mood swings of a severe diabetic. Wonder if sotomayor will be able to get her supplies under obamaocare? After all she voted for the mandate tax/penalty/fee/abrogation of rights.

In any case, the facts are that female diabetics who develop heart disease have a more deadly outcome than males with diabetes, even when well controlled. The odd way in which sotomayor described her judicial temperament is now explained— and of concern. But-— “that’s racist”? Right-— no it is NOT. It is demonstrably medical.

Brings new meaning to the old phrase “a two-bagger.”

Are you sure that isn't a triple-bagger (the extra one is for the dog so he doesn't howl)? ;-)

Drunk, waking to find a fat ugly woman in bed next to him.: "Oh my god, who are you?"

Woman: "I don't know who I am today, but last night I was your Polynesian Princess."

It would be wonderful if we could assign 1 person to read all the crap books coming out and report back to the rest of us.

Am I the only one who thinks EVERYONE is writing a book in the hopes of making money before the SHTF?

Screw them all.

A prosecutor brings a family member to a heroin den. And, does NOT bring this up on her own with an ethics board? Which self ethics would normally DEMAND? Like recusal on any and ALL drug prosecutions?

Should have said who the commentator is/was— Stuart Taylor of the National Journal.

And, my other point is— female diabetics have seriously higher earlier risk of a heart attack than male diabetics. For physiologic reasons of having smaller heart blood supply vessels (made smaller and weaker by diabetes), and for reasons that statistically, women will not have repeat heart attacks (same reason, smaller coronary arteries) like men will have and then a final one if not intervened. They just have one fatal attack. So there’s that.

Doesn’t change the “Roberts” effect of bizarre turnarounds in conservative jurisprudence (ala 3rd world coercion?)

We have a four-bagger here

-One for the dog so he still respects you in the morning.

-One full of whatever substance it takes to get it done.
