The poll is about 1/3 page down on the right column.

A federal appeals court Tuesday struck down Illinois’ ban on carrying concealed weapons. Do you agree or disagree with the court’s decision paving the way for legalized concealed carry in the state?

Thank you for your vote. Agree 100%

Disagree 0%

All laws infringing the 2nd amendment should be struck down.

Furthermore I think people living in states with strict gun control laws should be able to sue for having their civil rights violated by such laws, and that the politicians who passed those laws should pay the claims personally as restitution.

This case will be appealed by Illinois, whose AG has Presser vs. Illinois (1886) in his back pocket giving Illinois carte blanche to abrogate 2A within the State -- notwithstanding that 2A is self-incorporating to all the States, and that 14A reinforced the incorporation by the explicit intent of its writers, n/w/s the infamous Klan-coddling Court opinion in Cruikshank (1877) that repudiated the 14th in a cloud of pettifogging lawyer-talk and squid ink.

It looks like the fat's in the fire for Presser at last. This one's going up to the Supremes, guaranteed.

....and that the politicians who passed those laws should pay the claims personally as restitution.

That'll be tough in the case of Illinois. The politicians responsible for Illinois's abrogation of 2A lived in the 1870's, and they had a Supreme Court decision backing them up.

At least the other side is jammed right now, having to appeal this decision to a Court not yet reshaped to Barky's liking (nine white-hating lesbian Communists or something). They'd much rather wait, I'm sure, but the appeals court is forcing their hand.

Faaaaaaaaaaaageddabaaat it!!

FORGET ABOUT IT ALLL!

Barry will soon have his 2nd WISE LATINA (or queer) on the SCOTUS and it will then be THE END OF THE SECOND AMMENDMENT.

(And a likely civil war, to boot.)

Read the article. The appeals court gave Illinois only a brief window on the stay, before the 7th Circuit hands the case back down to the district court to be re-decided on the basis of the Second Amendment jurisprudence given the court by the appellate judges.

The Illinois AG will very likely appeal this to SCOTUS chop-chop. The timing is a lot snappier than what Barry Soetoro would like, but there it is.

And if he tries to screw with this case, the Supremes might just prorogate like they did with the Rat Party's attempt (successful in the end) to knock Texas out of this year's GOP Primary cycle by pettifogging and delaying the primary with a bunch of petty-b.s. vexatious pleading in federal court before a forum-shopped 'Rat judge.

Race baiting at the Pantagraph?

December 12, 2012

This morning I was reviewing the Pantagraph website. Not because they are very informative or interesting, I wanted to see how the recent court ruling regarding CCW in Illinois would be reported.. Imagine my surprise when I saw the following next to the article talking about the court’s decision.. “By the Numbers, who owns guns in Illinois” By Kurt Erickson | kurt.erickson@lee.net. The article goes on to explain that 77% of FOID card holders are white men. Then they go on to list blacks at 8.7% and “other” at 5.5%....

Well where it applies, let it.

Any politician sponsoring or voting for the violation of civil rights should be held accountable for such personally.

It’s OK; let’s allow it with the right conditions.

It follows the 2nd Amendment, but let’s severely limit it.
