WND EXCLUSIVE

Tea-party caucus chief: Make Obama ‘own economy’
Republicans ‘need to stop genuflecting to political events’
Published: 14 hours ago

by Taylor Rose Email | Archive
Taylor Rose is a Washington, D.C., staff reporter for WND.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. John Fleming, R-La., told WND Republicans in Washington “need to stand by our principles” while Barack Obama and “the left” have the bully pulpit on financial plans for the country.

“In the long term we have to really understand that panicking and genuflecting to political events of the moment is actually a bad idea,” he said. “We need to stand by our principles. If we fail to do that, we will lose our base.”

He said the evidence that standing on principle is a good idea was shown in the most recent election. Of the 22 Republicans who voted in 2011 to oppose House Speaker John Boehner’s debt ceiling increase, 18 won reelection. Two others retired.

He said a solid adherence to the longstanding principles of smaller government, lower taxes and self-reliance will be important.

“Republicans who cave to this [tax increases]…will see primary challenges in the 2014 elections. … They will find a lot of opposition in their districts in the next couple of years,” he said.

He referenced Democrat Howard Dean’s recent statement in an interview with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell in which the former Vermont governor said: “The truth is, everybody needs to pay more taxes, not just the rich. That’s a good start, but we’re not gonna get out of this deficit problem unless we raise taxes across the board.”

What you see here is the next phase of the Progressive agenda, in the form of an effort to delegitimize the opposition

Yes! Too many conservatives are taking Dean as some kind of joke. But it's not a joke. Many people on the left and in the center are not laughing. They are believing what Dean is saying.

That agenda’s been underway for several years now. Sadly, it’s working. The only way Republicans can survive is to fully realize they’re up against a hard-core opposition that will tell any lie, break any rule, violate any law and cross any moral/ethical line they feel is needed to win. That opposition includes to so-called MSM. As you point out, we’re at end-game stage but many, even here, don’t realize it.

But it's not a joke.

You're right, of course - Dean and the left are fomenting fear and hatred in a bid for even more political power.

Its a disgusting, vile strategy employed by really evil people down through history and WILL most certainly result in much bloodshed & suffering.

I pray the American public somehow has an epiphany and rejects whats going on but if history gives any indication we're gonna hafta ride this process all the way through.

Fine. Instead of targeting the unmarried with children, illegal aliens and gays, we’ll just lump them together as the moocher class.

First thing that has to go is Conservative Inc. nothing more than cushy jobs for deadbeat morons who peddle “approved reactionary” drivel.

That done we can pin the “Racist” ribbon on them with their identity politics, we own the race card now and we can use it like adults and splinter their coalition like a cheap glass.

Dean: Republicans “Have To Change Their Philosophy” Of “Beating Up” On Gays, Immigrants & Women

Translation:

1) Republican voters need to give up their wealth to non-white immigrants

2) Republican voters need to change their moral beliefs to accommodate homosexuals

3) Republican men voters need to be subservient and emasculated like Dean himself.

Straw man, meet little man Howard.

Our philosophy is NOT one of “beating up” sodomites, immigrants, or women.

I am an American.
The people I know that are gay are very nice, happy people.
The people I know that are homosexuals are mostly trying to destroy our society.
The people I know that are Immigrants are hard working, decent folks that are contributing to our Nation.
The people I know that are Illegal Aliens are a burden and a drain on our economy, our schools, our medical service and our communities.
The people that I know that are women I like.
Guess Dean is just a dumb ass.............

What blow my mind is that the majority of Americans actually BELIEVE this crap!

In what was does the GOP “Beat Up” on Gays, Immigrants, and women? Seriously?

Standing up for the “traditional” - aka - moral and biblical definition of marriage changes nothing.

The GOP has been soft on immigration for years - with only a little talk about ILLEGAL Immigration that should be a front-burner issue for ALL parties...

And Women? Seriously? Because the GOP is traditionally Anti-infanticide? That is anti-women?
