This is not unlike how they decided to build airports for places like Pittsburgh and Toledo way out in the boonies west of town, only to have developers move in and put up new housing next door to them, creating a bunch of new neighbors who began criping about the noise.
When we complained about it to Dad (a former Navy pilot in World War II) he told us curtly "Get used to it. That's the sound of freedom and a paycheck for most of your neighbors. I picked this neighborhood because it has great schools. Someday, you'll appreciate it."
Dad was right.
