Patrick Moran, the son of Democratic Virginia Rep. Jim Moran, is having a bad year. First, undercover video operative James O'Keefe caught him on tape half-heartedly discussing how to commit voter fraud...while acting as the field director for his dad's campaign. Now Moran's taken a more criminal turn, pleading guilty earlier today to allegedly beating up his girlfriend outside a Columbia Heights bar.

In a statement to Washington City Paper, Rep. Moran described his son and his girlfriend as "good kids."
"I hope their privacy will be respected," the congressman said. "They look forward to putting this embarrassing situation behind them.”

The politician himself has a violent past, including assaulting a child. The son was caught suggestion vote fraud while working for the politician's reelection campaign.

Huh? Huh? This creep Moran said his son’s brutal action was an “embarrassing situation”. He wants his baby boy to get on with his life, ‘cause he’s a “good kid” (ha! aren’t they all?) The rat father dismisses the girl’s broken nose and possible concussion as an embarrassing situation. The “good kid” was previously caught on tape giving tips on how to commit voter fraud.
So, in answer to your question, YES! It is okay to attack that creep father.

My sister used to work for a lawyer named Moran.
Every time she put his name into a document the spell checker would offer “moron” as a correction.
I told her she could add the name to the dictionary so it would stop doing that, and she said “no, I kinda like it”
Hmmm. The Constitution says the right to privacy allows one to kill an inconvenient child up until the age of 9 months, so the same right to privacy should be good enough to allow one to beat their girlfriend.
Besides, he's a Democrat. Democrats don't have to worry about the media respecting their privacy.

Wonder when Bob Costas will denounce the son’s ability to make fists. “If the younger Moran did not have the ability to make fists, his girlfriend would be able to see out both of her eyes.”
