automatically registering eligible voters

Tell me Mr. Holder. What is an eligible voter exactly? In your own words.

to counter the November election’s long lines

Why stop there? Why not have automatic voting too, so people don't have to lift a finger at all?

Instant registration, no ID required. What could possibly go wrong with this scenario?

Hey I got a better idea Holder! Why not just take the number of people that said they were black or Hispanic and of voting age in the last census and assign their votes to the democrat candidate, then those poor aggrieved minority voters will never have to bother with registering or going out to vote or “racist” voter ID laws. (Sad thing is, I doubt many of those voters would see anything wrong with this...)

How about automatic voter de-registration. Every March 1st after a Presidential election, each and every voter is purged from the voting rolls and is required to provide state issued ID and proof of residence to re-register.

As far as I’m concerned, the only place one should be able to register is at the secretary of state office.

I hate to belabor the obvious, but anytime politicians talk about voter reform the intent is to make it harder to vote out them out.

They just did it during this last election. Now all they have to do is make it legal.
