Laura Ingraham partners with Norm Pattiz at Courtside

So it’s not Cumulus. Norm Pattiz, one of L.A.’s most famous Lakers fans (thus the “Courtside Entertainment” name) recruits a new star in talkhost Laura Ingraham. She recently left TRN at the end of her contract, had conversations with several parties, and now signs with Westwood One founder Norm Pattiz. The deal was done yesterday. Other Courtside projects include “Loveline with Dr. Drew, Mike and Simone” and “Bill O’Reilly’s Presidential Townhall.” Expect an announcement about Ingraham today, and a start date. That could be as soon as next week, or it could be January 2. One thing’s for sure – 2013 will be the most interesting year in talk syndication in two decades.

She has both fans and non-fans here.

Via TALKERS.com yesterday:
The Laura Ingraham Watch Continues; Cumulus Denies Rumors of Ingraham Deal. Rumors of where talk media personality Laura Ingraham will surface with a new, nationally syndicated talk show after parting from Talk Radio Network several weeks ago continue to pop up. But Cumulus Media COO John Dickey tells TALKERS there is no truth to the rumor she is joining his company for a national syndication deal. TALKERS sources are hearing rumblings that instead of hooking up with a broadcasting corporation that also owns stations (Clear Channel, Cumulus), Ingraham is busy working on a project for a new radio talk show with legendary syndicator Norm Pattiz in that effort. Ingraham mentioned on Fox News Channel on December 7 that she would announce something this week but, as most broadcasters know, issues can pop up that delay these types of announcements.

DCRTV:
Ingraham Signs With Pattiz - 12/13 - Tom Taylor in his Thursday radio biz newsletter tells us that DC-based talker Laura Ingraham partners with Norm Pattiz at Courtside - not Cumulus, as widely rumored. She recently left TRN at the end of her contract, had conversations with several parties, and now signs with Westwood One founder Pattiz.....

I think she's intelligent and well worth listening to.The fact that she's easy on the eye doesn't hurt...but her thoughts would still be important if she looked like Rosie O’Donuts.

Would you have any reservations about Rush Limbaugh if he was single, claimed to be Catholic, yet frequently turned his radio show over to an pro baby killing, open homosexual, and also spent a lot of time (including with his adopted kids) with the homosexual that he turned his show over to?

I’m referring to Laura Ingraham as being the phoney who often turns her show over to Tammy Bruce, a pro abortion lesbian. And I called and got thru to her show when on in Boston but was not let on to ask this simple question.

I actually used to have pretty frequent email conversations with Laura.
Same with Tammy. Told her I was a ‘Plankowner’ on her first Saturday show. Had to explain it to her.
I don’t bother with either of them anymore.

Easy on the eye has at least some value in TV. Easy on the ear is what counts for radio.

BEGINS JAN 2

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/laura-ingraham-returns-broadcast-radio-161200698.html

>>Courtside Entertainment Group announced today a new agreement to distribute The Laura Ingraham Show to her national radio audience beginning January 2, 2013. Ingraham’s highly anticipated return to her more than 300 radio affiliates will offer audiences an expanded show experience and a heightened presence on new media platforms.
One of the most popular radio hosts in the United States, Ingraham returns to radio coast-to-coast, while significantly increasing her audience through Launchpad Digital Media, a division of Norm Pattiz’s Courtside Entertainment Group. Launchpad will digitally stream the live three-hour program online, make it available as an on-demand podcast, and feature new original content from Ingraham’s Dream in My Head Productions. The Laura Ingraham Show will be produced by Dream In My Head Productions with ad representation managed by Courtside.

“In the 3rd quarter of 2012, The Laura Ingraham Show was the 3rd most popular political talk show streamed in the nation.
“I suppose this means putting aside my xylophone and modern dance ambitions,” Ingraham quipped. “I’m thrilled to partner with Norm Pattiz, who helped guide my show after its initial launch in 2001; I am humbled by the outpouring of affection from my listeners over the past few weeks. Courtside’s commitment to our team, our audience, and stations will broaden the national reach of the Laura Ingraham Show to new radio markets.

(no word on time slot?)

I wasn’t there; I didn’t hear the exchange but is “plankowner” really going to be known much outside the Navy? Do you think she may have asked for benefit of her audience?

Wasn’t she a RomneyBot from day one? He’s the only one that can win, etc?

Where does she stand on the eligibility issue? Jindahl and Rubio are eligible?

Don’t know on either; she may have been supporting someone else over Romney at one point but eventually got into “only one that can win”. Hadn’t heard her as much in recent yr or two. Just sporadic.

Not much demand for Ingraham

Her voice is annoying...and failed in many markets. TRN had no desire to re sign her...even after they lost Savage. And her support of Obama on the Eligibility issue ran off what audience she had

Liked her years ago when she came on the scene, but she’s grown bitter & shrill over the years. She reminds me of a lot of my middle-aged friends’ signifigant others....nuff said:)

I once listened to her show often. Once she was in the tank for Romney I knew she was a RINO and quit. I will never go back.
