I’m a little leery of that blue section that shows higher revenues due to “Obama’s” tax increases. I think that regardless of the tax rates (even when top rates hit 90%), historically, revenues have hovered around 18% of GDP.

The whole taxing our way to prosperity is Marxist urban legend and they know it. Our economy SUCKS and the whole increasing taxes meme will kill it.

I agree, tax increases will inevitably trail spending increases on an upward slope.
