DEVELOPING: A gunman opened fire Friday inside a Connecticut elementary school, and authorities reported multiple deaths -- including the gunman -- according to CTNow.com.
Reports also said children were shot but it remains unclear whether any were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.
Authorities said the gunman, who was not identified, is dead. An official with knowledge of the situation told the Associated Press that the man apparently had two guns.

Horrifying. Prayers for the children.
If it’s true about the armed teacher, then she/he saved many lives.

Jeez, lastest report says 27 dead, 18 children. I can’t conceive of anything like that. Children in a grade school?

He or they gunned down an entire kindergarten class. Unbelievably sick.

From a related article:
Stephen Delgiadice said his 8-year-old daughter heard two big bangs and teachers told her to get in a corner. His daughter was fine.
Its alarming, especially in Newtown, Connecticut, which we always thought was the safest place in America, he said.
Even in the "safest place in America", no one is safe where good people are prohibited from defending themselves and others. Therefore, public schools are among the most unsafe places in America.

... that last paragraph was mine and not from the article. I forgot to turn the italics off.

Obviously we cannot arm progressive teachers. They will shoot their children. We must end conscriptive education that forces children into unhealthy, unsafe environments. Disarming the citizenry is the cause of these horrors. An armed citizenry is safe from the madness of homocidal maniacs. An armed parent in the classroom would be appropriate and reasonable. Every parent should be armed and prepared to protect their child.
