The AP reports his younger brother being held.
CNN and WNBC report that the suspected gunman behind Friday's shooting at a Connecticut elementary school has been identified as Ryan Lanza.
Fox News reports that he is 24-years
his mother was kindergarten teacher at the school

A law enforcement official says the suspect in the Connecticut school shootings is 24-year-old Ryan Lanza and that his younger brother is being held for questioning as a possible second shooter. The law enforcement official says the boys’ mother, Nancy Lanza, works at the school as a teacher. The official also said Ryan Lanza’s girlfriend and another friend are missing in New Jersey. Speaking on condition of anonymity, the official said the suspect is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the source was not authorized to speak on the record about the developing criminal investigation.
That would account for the age discrepancies.

Cops these days do not go after some dangerous people who are the special protected species of our society. GAyish people do not attract their attention in the deed of bad things, though they always are the rabble rousers in “parties gone wild” on TV. The routine checks don’t follow those traces. It looks too Obamaish and cute to be true that it would destroy the country to compromise with such death culture.
I could thus easily think that this is to promote a “gun is responsible and not me” type culture out there, a leftist psychiatrist’s gallore.
We already know islam has special protections, and the unions have islamic cops harrassing christians in many places. The culture of irresponsability is on. Some could play the “I too am special in God game” and see where that leads to. Reverse infiltrate them with their demons and friends possessing them. It’s a kill priviledge culture that is being foisted, not unlike Nazism foisting a kill the jew priviledged culture.
Bottom line of this story is: They really expect us and gun owners to walk in the sidewalk gutter of social shame in America.
It’s a ploy by certain elites to control and enslave and harass legal citizens to submission and submissiveness... very vicious stuff of conformists and antisemites amongst others. Their kids are always special.

I suspect this young man has a severe mental illness. The mental health gurus decided about 20 years ago that institutionalizing sufferers of mental illness is not a solution.
Young men,in this age group, suffer most. They don’t like the meds because the meds result in a numbness that is uncomfortable. So they don’t take them. What they think is real to them and they act on it.
Wish someone would study the correlation between these mass murders and mental health treatment.
It isn’t firearms. It is untreated mental health problems.

Honestly...can that man(Obama) not make a statement without dragging himself into the situation. This is not the time for him to bring up he is a parent since everyone in the world knows he is one. The total focus should be on the families that lost loved ones.

He may as well have said it out loud when he spoke rather than saying “issues need to be addressed regardless of politics” which we all know means gun control. Watch for EO’s or presidential directives to follow. Percentage of possibility of this happening is tiny except for the parents from today. Hopefully the Lord will provide them with some comfort as hard as it will be.

UPDATE.....now being reported the name ADAM, not Ryan is the shooter, the media is out of control
That will be a tough one, since the murderer/s apparently did not use anything that can be described as an "assault weapon" and because the murderer/s apparently comes from Connecticut and lives in New Jersey - two states with extremely tight existing gun control laws.
Some of what’s being posted is speculation using FB and Twitter pages and isn’t the correct Ryan Lanza.
Administrators & some teachers are going to HAVE to be armed to slow down or prevent this stuff.

This story is really getting twisted up.
They had it backwards. The YOUNGER 20 year old, Adam Lanza, was the shooter. The older 24 year old, Ryan Lanza, is in custody.
Obamugabe and his Democrat running dog lackeys don’t want anyone to raise questions about using the mental health care system to catch these guys in time.

Absolutely! Where I live there is a state hospital nearby and people are released into the community from there. Granted most are fine, but there are the .0001% who are not yet the case workers continue to determine they are not a problem until they do something.
In the case in Connecticut it was a mass shooting, around here it is usually property crimes or minor assaults. This is a rather rural area so most folks here are armed (even teachers).
Despite what many believe, even the mentally ill can and do plan these things where they can expect the least resistance. A “no gun zone” school is an excellent place to complete a mass killing.
We need to reexamine the treatment of the mentally ill. Loughner and the Movie theater shooters were quite obviously ill yet there is no quick method to get them under control until AFTER they have done something.
Gun control won’t stop this stuff. Arming people charged with the care of our children would go a long way. An armed principal at that school could have quickly ended the episode.
And we really need to come to grips with the idea that there ARE, in our society, deranged persons who need to be locked away BEFORE they are allowed to perform these hideous acts.
This is not an issue of treating mental state! "Mental illness" or not -- such an individual needed to be stopped immediately!
Too bad somebody there was not equipped to stop him.

Unfortunately with the current regime in place that opens up another can of worms. The Soviets loved to declare dissidents mentally ill and send them off “for treatment” (i.e., imprisonment and forcible medication usually ending in nobody ever hearing from that individual again).

You don’t understand. It is almost impossible to institutionalize someone who is violent. Even with a doctors recommendation. Liberals got courts and social workers involved. Then they emptied most mental hospitals in the late 70’s early 80’s. Thank Jimmuh Cahtah.
