SIERRA VISTA— More than two dozen illegal immigrants were picked up by the U.S. Border Patrol after being discovered by a deer hunter on Friday morning.
Gary Lium said he was out hunting in the mountains behind Fort Huachuca when he noticed a lot of footprints. Down the road he said he ran into a large group of people in wet clothes and tennis shoes who were obviously freezing.
After Lium called them in at about 10 a.m., Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents searched the area and were able to locate about 27 men, women and children, said Brent Cagen, spokesperson for the Border Patrol.
Lium said that one straggler had been missed and he went back to find him and brought him back.
“I wouldn’t leave my dog up there wet and cold and freezing,” Lium said.
“About half of the subjects were transported to a local hospital for possible exposure. No additional information is available at this time,” Cagen said. “This is yet another example of the many dangers associated with crossing the Arizona/Mexico border illegally. Temperatures can drop to freezing in the winter and smugglers are not concerned with the safety of the people they are smuggling.”

And free medical, EBT cards, Housing vouchers, cell phones, student loans and the name of a lawyer who will sue the deer hunter who turned them in.
We take them to the hospital for examinations and give them dry clothes while a US Marine sits in a Mexican prison for doing nothing. What’s wrong with this picture?
If they were mumbling “Dont need no steenkin papers” in Spanish then yes they were illegal aliens...

You forgot subsidized mortgages and get out of jail free cards. And the ‘student loans’ aren’t loans - they’re grants.
Sorry but its not funny to get your jollies mocking desperate people who risk much trying to obtain a better life for themselves and their families. Truth be told most come here to work and do work. If our silly politicians spend and squander taxpayer’s money to lavish outlandish benefits for their own cynical political purposes, try ridiculing them. People have been migrating for economic reasons throughout recorded history.
Illegal means law breakers. It’s not mocking those illegals and our catch and release no Border Control when we point out illegals get more benefits and pampering than citizen taxpayers. If they want to come here, we have a legal process for prospective immigrants, use it and punish those who cross illegally.
They are probably just coming here a bit early to get a jump on early voting for the 2014 elections.

They're sneaking in the back door, cutting fences, trespassing on and vandalizing private property.
And their 'guides' are lower than pond scum; leaving them out to suffer in the elements as they did. The coyotes probably told them they were only a few hours' walk from Phoenix. This is what the Border Patrol hears all the time.
