President Barack Obama has chosen Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts to be the next secretary of state, a source has told Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed.
His replacement as head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will be Sen. Robert Menendez of New Jersey, the Sneed source said.

Can’t say I was overly surprised by this. I almost have to admire Obama for the evil genius his displays.
Well, I guess he’s qualified. He spent three months in Vietnam during the war and even more time in Hanoi after coming home with all his “hero” medals.

John Kerry is unfit to be Secretary of State. If the citizens of his home state wish to continue to vote the known perjurer in as Senator, I can’t stop them. I can voice strenuous objection to him being other things, and I will.

Well, Menendez certainly has experience with relationships in the Dominican Republic...I'm sure he'll be willing to bone up on relations with other nations as well.

I received an email from Joel Rosenberg this morning (the whole message is on his blog) and he put it well:
