News Corp. chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch expressed support for an automatic weapons ban tonight following today's shooting in Newtown, Conn.
"Terrible news today. When will politicians find courage to ban automatic weapons?," Murdoch wrote on Twitter.
Murdoch made a similar call following the theater shooting in Aurora, Colo., in July: "We have to do something about gun controls. Police license okay for hunting rifle or pistol for anyone without crim or pscho record. No more," he tweeted.
News Corp. owns Fox News, where contributors have been objecting to calls for gun control throughout the day.
For the gun-grabbing elitist liberals (many of whom have their very own armed security) here is a piece of advice they should heed before commenting on gun control, originally given to Ralphie: "You'll shoot your eye out"

HIS well-armed body guards will continue to protect HIM and HIS family and loved ones while law abiding American CITIZENS are disarmed and thrown to the “mercy” of Obama’s WELL ARMED thug, racist “peeps” in da hood and all his knuckle dragging union buddies. Stock up because before this is over, you are probably going to need it.
And automatic firearms have never been used in mass shootings since the St. Valentine Day Massacre.
Rupert has a lot of money. He can bully his employees and most people in this world. I’ll bet you he has bodyguards.....armed bodyguards. That’s because he can’t bully everybody. He’d like to, but he can’t. And that really ticks him off.
An automatic weapon hasn’t been used in a massacre in the U.S. since St Valentine’s Day, 1929.
And yet for so long many, many Freepers thought that Fox News was the best thing since sliced bread. Interesting how your gods fail you so consistently. Perhaps you might not wish to take things at face value so damn often.
I haven’t watched TV except for sports in quite a long time. Maybe the History Channel a couple times, and an old movie. But that’s it. Oh, I did watch the debates; but, weren’t those akin to sporting events?

one reporter on cnn said the long gun was a “bushwacker”. another said the long gun was semi auto and not auto, that they are two different types of rifle. oone totally ignorant and another no so.
Had automatic weapons been outlawed, those mobsters would still be alive. :)
There were no “automatic” weapons at this massacre unless the cops brought some.

Murdock was born is Australia, raised in England and shows all of the “subject mentality” of those monarchy besotted nations.
Aussies voted to disarm themselves, remember?
