Counterterrorism Agency: Every Citizen a Suspect
The New American ^ | December 15, 2012 | Joe Wolverton, II, J.D.

Regulations recently signed into effect by Attorney General Eric Holder allow the National Counterterroism Center (NCTC) to monitor records of citizens for any potential criminal activity, without a warrant and without suspicion.

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, the records that will be subject to seizure and examination by the NCTC include “flight records, casino-employee lists, the names of Americans hosting foreign exchange students and many others.”

Prior to the promulgation of these new regulations, such records were stored on only those citizens suspected of terror-related activity or as part of ongoing criminal investigations.

Furthermore, this information could only be stored for five years; that information will be stored indefinitely, so that the data can be analyzed by federal agents for signs of potential criminal behavior.

These sweeping new powers resulted from a debate among Obama administration intelligence officials, the story reports.

“The debate was a confrontation between some who viewed it as a matter of efficiency—how long to keep data, for instance, or where it should be stored—and others who saw it as granting authority for unprecedented government surveillance of U.S. citizens,” the Wall Street Journal reports, claiming that the newspaper received this insight into the process through Freedom of Information requests and interviews with representatives at several agencies familiar with the events.

In a historic and unconstitutional way, the new directives grant NCTC the power to place every American under the constant surveillance of the federal government, not because these people have ever merited the attention, but because someday they might.

Granting an agency of the federal government the power to place innocent citizens under surveillance is not only an unconscionable diminution of due process rights, but a wholesale regulatory nullification of the Bill of Rights.

Another equally intrusive aspect of the new regulations

The Bill of Rights is Dead. Killed by the Obama Assault and Marxist government. Yes theoretically we have a Bill of Rights. No, we are no longer entitled to exercise any such antiquated notions of rights and freedoms, they are suspended by the Fedgov that is shredding the economic and social fabric of the once free USA. The USA will be completely broke, unable to pay its bills, and constitution suspended or eliminated within the current Obama term, soon.

And so begins the Nazification/Mohammedanization of America. No invasion is necessary; no costly civil war. The sheep have given up their freedom for nothing.

0bambi has violated the Constitution more than any President since Lincoln and nothing is done about it. He has defied Congress, the courts and the Constitution and NOTHING is done. We are paying $176,000/year (plus benefits) to cowards who are complicit in the theft of our freedom.

Since 2000, and I blame Bush as much as the enemy, our rights have been shredded. There is no freedom of the press; freedom of religion is being threatened, as is the right of redress; TSA has stripped us of our right against unlawful search and seizure; Kelo took away property rights; the Ninth and Tenth Amendments are in the dust bin of history.

Meanwhile, a whole segment of the population (Republicans/Conservatives/Tea Partiers) is demonized, just as ruthlessy as Hitler demonized the Jews. The transformation of a nation once free into Amerikastan will be complete with the latest assault on the Second Amendment.

I will not go silently. I was born a free man; I will die as one.

“The Bill of Rights is Dead. Killed by the Obama Assault and Marxist government.”

Not just Obama. You can throw in Carter, Bush1, Bush2 and
Clinton in there with him. Obama is just the sum.

What's next, "preventive detention"? That "sucking sound" you hear is America circling the drain.
