We already know why we watch. To see what the enemy is up to next.Know your enemy if you want to defeat him.

The best show of this type on TV is the Journal Editorial Report with Paul Gigot. It airs Saturday afternoons on FNC. They should move it to Sunday morning.

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/12/liberal-policies-are-to-blame-for-todays-mass-shooting-in-newtown-ct/ Here is another good take on what is really behind the shootings. Its liberal policies of not recognizing insanity over the years. Over the last fifty years the US has gone from a half million hospitalized for insanity to 50k we now see the result.

I agree with that.

Many, as soon as the news broke of the extensiveness of the atrocity, were jumping on their 'agenda' bandwagons and spreading their wares. Many of them were posting in various FR threads, too.

As with other similar shootings, we will hear the same rhetoric and condolescences for several days, and then we will move on.

I had a brief thought when I turned on the TV news this morning: Most of the major news outlets could just broadcast repeats of broadcasts of aftermath chatter from previous shootings.

==

One thing I realized early in this was that 'security measures' are not always secure. Per reports, the principal had just had security improvements installed in October. Well, we know now that those didn't work. Too many times, such measures only provide the 'aura' of security, rather than actual security. [Stepping off my soap box.]

Morning AB.....

.....very good point.

Am singing this morn at the 10 am mass. Will be back after that.

I will leave with my thoughts on the matter. Warning that I am often wrong on my opinion; I thought Romney would win by a landslide.

But if those politicos, worthless beings all of them, think that they are going to use this to take away America’s guns, it won’t work folks.

Any attempt at gun control stopped at 9-11-01. Can’t explain why, but it did.

I just don’t see Americans, sappy fools all of us at times, as being so naive as to think that meekly handing over their guns will somehow protect this from happening again. The world has guns. This Conn. guy, the gun control laws worked. He couldn’t purchase a gun for a waiting period and he was restless. So he stole his mother’s weaponry.

Us idiots out here in la la land know that stealing and/or obtaining a gun for illegal purposes is easy enough and us being without guns is no solution.

They’ll try.

But it won’t work.

There are just some things that are profoundly sad. This is one of them.

It’s like the lion cub. I saw it on 60 Minutes few weeks ago. It was real footage, shot in a jungle in real time.

It was heart-breaking.

A herd of water buffalo stampeded when pursued by a female lion and her cubs. One of her cubs was in the way of the frantic beasts and got run over. They broke his little back.

There he was, stuck in the mud, unable to move his back parts. His Mom called and called him but he whimpered and couldn’t get to her. She went over to him and in a last ditch attempt, she pulled him up by the scruff. She then dropped him, expecting him to run and follow her. She did not understand that his back was broken, he was paralyzed from below his neck down.

While she sat there waiting for the cub to come to her, precious little baby, did. He pulled himself up by his front legs and hopped over to her. It was as if he wanted to say “I’m here Mom. I can move but have to hop a bit.”:

She couldn’t stay with him. She couldn’t very well carry him all over the jungle for the rest of his life so she had to leave him to die.

That cub meant as much to that mama lion as those children did to their parents.

Like I told my granddaughter, sometimes profoundly sad things happen and we can’t do anything about it.

Crazy people get guns. They get box cutters, they get knives, they kill their spouses and enemies and on and on.

Profoundly sad things happen at times.

And at one time homosexuality was considered a mental disease. Even though it is, it’s no longer considered such.

The problem with doing this thread, week after week, year after year, is it is getting so old, so predictable, and really focuses one’s mind to intimately know that the driveby media has an agenda.

Not to say we all haven’t figured it out; we see it every day.

But it’s days—or Sunday’s like this, you just know that these relentless partisans are going to sing and dance on the newly dug graves of others to get their collective way.

It’s beyond disgusting. Words fail me.

Actually, AB, your words are right-on. I’d add that a dramatically distinguishing feature at this point is the VERY STALIN-LIKE personality cult that has arisen rather fast around Obama, who inevitably asserts himself as the focal point of everything and anything that happens, including the Conn. tragedy and its aftermath of sick politicking.

Despite a story of immense tragedy at one end (the victims) and bizarre and gut-wrenching confusions and contradictions at the other (the shooter, his mother, etc.), today’s LEAD STORY it turns out is that Obama is going to Conn to grieve and mourn and have his picture taken.

My point?

In less than 5 years we have rushed straight from the 1905 storming of the Winter Palace to Stalin’s all-encompassing cult of personality in the 1950s—a time when all occurrences in Russia and the bloc nations were filtered through HIM, Stalin’s presence and aura being the SOLE CONTEXT for Reality Itself.

And let’s not kid ourselves about all this. Before long even activities such as national mourning and specific and personal feelings like grief will hook directly to Obama’s belt as they did Stalin’s—if they haven’t already.

It’s worth recalling that in the Gulag, as told by Solzenhitsyn, when Stalin himself died, the news was met by the inmates with mass grief and in many cases hysteria—so compelling was the cult of personality that Stalin’s own prisoners and “fall guys” agonized at his death.

We’re heading this way, we’ll be there soon, thanks to the DEVOTION of the apparatchik media we have, far more sophisticated and intoxicating than Pravda or any of that.

To dupe your own victims as Stalin did, as Obama is doing, is the master stroke for sure. Obama’s license to commit hypocrisies and manipulations unlike any ever committed is now grandiose, and to him and his sycophants has certainly been interpreted as god-like power and authority.

Actually, to them and him, he has surpassed God by laps. And as for the rest of us, we can only observe with disgust and maybe wonder why Poppa Barack has yet to travel to Mexico to mourn and grieve with all the families of victims slain with his own arsenal of Fast and Furious (buy your own pet cartel) weapons.

But that little adventure will likely only unravel in unread archives after the fall—which at this amazing pace of decline might come sooner than any of us imagine.

The sad thing is that the true reasons for all these atrocities whether it be mass killings using a knife in China, mad bombers blowing up people, millions killed by cars every year, too many insane people on the street and not in hospitals getting the care that they need, will never be discussed today.

The choice is clear. Make a police state out of the country where only criminals have guns or get help for some of the mentally insane.

Don’t worry. Soon enough the “asylums” will be filled with people—like you and I, for saying what you just said or merely agreeing with it.

HOmos have become just another target voter group for the DNC. Little will be done to help any of the mental illness/brainwashing of voter groups.Whether you reference gays, Hispanics, blacks, you name it that buy into the spin of the demoncrat party its all brainwashing. Sadly, last on the dems list is any real help for any of these groups. They have become useful idiots. As long as stupid/insane people buy into their pap little will change.

Was that show even on yesterday? Every time I turned on FNC, it was wall-to-wall coverage of the school shooting. I try to watch JER and the media bias show that follows it, but the scheduling has been .... uneven recently. Sometimes JER is an hour, sometimes 1/2.

Apparently somebody at FNC is concerned that JER might be a hit if they let it build an audience, and we can't have that. Unless of course, they want to put Geraldo or Bob Bechel as the host.

Does anyone not doubt that the mainstream media are ghouls and creeps who feed on disaster? I mean seriously, look at the gun-grabbers they have for guests this week!

If anyone in the Obama administration, or any other government in the USA, or in the media, really believed that guns were a problem, believed it for real, they would begin by simply disarming themselves.

Right at the front door of the NY Times is an armed guard. NBC, the Post, elsewhere—why not begin by disarming them?

And Obama has absolute authority to disarm the Secret Service, even the military.

And what about the Hollywood bodyguard industry—booming and bulging with holstered weapons. What about their end product out there? Can we demand that they take the guns OUT of their movies first, as a show of good faith.

Or OUT of the video games—???

I’ll believe they think guns are the problem when they disarm. Until then, never mind.

The appropriately named Senate Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin has hearings scheduled in January on the 2nd amendment. He wants to calmly ban ‘assault’ rifles.

Which you can find right at the door of the very building in which he’ll hold his hearings. Will he calmly disarm the Capitol police?

And with all the chit-chat reporting about the shooting, has anybody heard how the shooter got those weapons in the first place? Did he walk in s gun store and go through a waiting period, or buy them at a gun show, or buy them from a drug dealer, or use weapons registered to his mother or brother, or did he get them from the Eric Holder Justice Department?

With HIPAA, it might take a while to find out what kind of psychotropic drugs he was actually using, but the gun ownership records should be public information.

Hopefully on the the shows this morning will clear this all up so people like me could understand it.

Is there a bigger drama queen anywhere than Geraldo? I would rather watch Nancy Grace than that Prutz (That is a Puerto Rican putz).
