The hot dog guy is getting new digs.
Clinton Tarver, the owner of Clints Hot Dog Cart and Casual Catering, saw his small business thrust into the national spotlight on Tuesday when his supplies were destroyed at a pro-union protest against right-to-work legislation in Lansing, Mich. Violent demonstrators tore down a tent where Tarver was serving his dogs, he said, prompting a staff member for a local lawmaker to create an online fundraiser for the 63-year-old downtown fixture. As of Friday, more than $33,000 had been donated.
Im overwhelmed, Tarver said Friday. The public has shown such love to me. You never know your true friends until you get down and Ive had people I thought were pretty close to me and theyve given me one call. You learn from your endeavors.
Lorilea Zabadal, a staff member for Republican state Rep. Al Pscholka, established the fundraiser after learning of Tarvers plight.
Everyone who has passed the hot dog cart knows what a kind and caring individual Clint is, Zabadal wrote. He never fails to bestow a smile or friendly greeting. In no way [did] he provoke this attack, nor any of the behavior displayed toward him. Regardless of your position on current legislation, rebuilding Clint's Hot Dogs is something we can all support. Please give what you can to get this deserving businessman back out there!

Good news Ping!
I’ll agree with you when the domestic terrorists who did the crime are arrested, prosecuted and convicted as domestic terrorists.
Good wins over evil!! Clint is a good man, a small business owner who just wants to provide for his family. Union thugs destroyed his hot dog cart but they did not destroy the good will of the people
Glad to see that the Hot Dog guy will be able to keep his biz. Too bad he will probably only be able to serve Soy or Tofu dogs or else the HHS Obama-goons will be back....
There still is some good left in this country despite what Barry and the ‘RATS have done to it. Clint and those who helped him are part of that good. This guy did not deserve what happened to him. He wasn’t on either side. He was just a guy selling hot dogs and trying to make a living for himself.
Symbolic of how the small business owner is being attacked by the left.
>>He wasnt on either side. He was just a guy selling hot dogs and trying to make a living for himself.<<
He didn’t make himself join a union so he was fair game for the thugs...
He needs a pistol
Yes, Clint Tarver worked hard and invested his own money for what he built unlike those who tried to take it away.
Clinton lost about $500 that day. Got to hear Hannity chuck in $5K to cover costs.
The media will not be able to distort what the conservatives have done for him either. His relatives friends and neighbors are watching this too.
He will be shut down within a year for health violations.
That’s just how liberals are.
Thanks for posting the nice pics of Clint, his cart and website, Smooth.

I think it’s great that Clint is going to name a new hot dog after Lorilea!
What a wonderful ending to what started out to be such a bummer of a story this past week.
You’re right, this time good overcame evil. :o)
Unions, I belonged to one for over 25 years, have long since served their purpose and certainly worn out their welcome here in America. They have become little else than Communist Front organizations and money laundering conduits to the left leaning politicos.
Gratifying news of good deeds coming after despicable ones.
“...rebuilding Clint’s Hot Dogs is something we can all support”
“ReBUILDING? He didn’t build that!!” Hussein said so.
I had one of his chili dogs when we had a TEA Party demonstration at the capitol on April 15, 2009. Pretty good too. Funny, I don’t seem to remember anyone making any threats, punching anyone, or destroying private property or nearby businesses. The union trash must have been absent that day.

There were some people there that favor raising taxes on other people, getevenwithemism, but they didn’t make any noise about it at the time. The NOT TEA Party people.
I never realized before that Twinkies had such weiner envy...
Where are the trial lawyers lining up to sue for damages for this guy’s loss from the unions that instigated the ‘thuggish act’.

The Teamsters have some pretty deep pockets. I can’t believe there aren’t a few lawyers who aren’t drooling for a big fat slice of that pie.
Obama and his union thugs, mentality of, “you didn’t build that business” and to add, “you are not approved by us to be a successful businessman, therefore we will destroy it”. When Obama and his henchman get their way, the only businesses that will survive will be big corporations and all towns will basically have is a Wal-Mart and a few fast food places and that is it regardless if it is Clarksburg, WV or Santa Cruz, CA.
There. Fixed it.
Yet the King of Thugs, continues to destroy business and personal lives of those who work for business on a daily basis, the likes of which no amount of money can help recover from.
Thank you for posting this story. Nice to read some good news today.
That $33,000 was donated by Unions, correct?
I sincerely doubt it and acknowledge you didn't need a sarc tag:)
With all the bad news going around right now, here comes a “good ending” story. Just in time for Christmas !
Thanks jazusamo.
