We need to reinstate the “House Un-American Activities Committee”.

One of the tenets of the Communists is to denigrate heroes like our Founding Fathers.

Hey, they already have their BFLAN in the White House. To grind our heroes into the dirt is just unnecessary revenge, like tackling the quarterback WAY after the play has ended.

The Left has to destroy any and all “icons” of the “rich, white guy” founding fathers’ traditions and replace him with Barack Obama fairy tales. It’s the Marxist way, don’t you know? - There’s always the on/off switch on the remote if we’ll use it. - Evil orchestrated.

The definitive biography of George Washington, a four volume encyclopedic work by James Flexner, leaves no doubt as to the man's personal integrity. Contemporaneous accounts of his conduct and presence reinforce the fact that he was everything we think he was.

In the sixties, the idiots tried to desecrate him by mocking his alleged wooden false teeth. And that he was a slave owner during his life. That was it. If they try to generate a fictional character to smear, they will break their own wings on this wheel.

Of course they are. That evil, slave holding, white SOB. They will work to destroy all traditional American heroes. Did I say white?

Definately a part of the longstanding marxist goal to smear and defame our historical icons and leaders. But what is most sad is that the mindset/worldview of our modern culture has so degenerated into such astounding depths of cynicism and sleaze, that it almost can’t even comprehend nor accept these once-common qualities of strong moral character in an individual.

One of the tactics of the left is tearing down the icons of this country. Remember the awe we felt in school at Washington, the first president? In the leftist mind, that’s bad. Our awe and reverence for the founders of this country are obstacles in the way for the left, as it tears down the whole foundation of this country and creates the leftist paradise that they have always dreamed of.

They’re working on a TV series—with complete artistic license—showing the father of our country hopping in bed with his best friend’s wife.

I think this is history. IIRC, Glenn Beck discussed it in his book Being George Washington.

Not sure it was GW's best friend but it was certainly an acquaintance.

When King George heard the George Washington laid down his sword and went back to his farm like Cincinnatus, the King remarked “My God, he must be the greatest man to have ever lived.” Can you imagine one of these scumbag lefties having the balls to fight a superior enemy for 7 years, win, and the walk away from power? No. You can’t.

Tearing down genuinely great men is a way for the mediocre to feel better about themselves.

Ever since the 1970s, it seems many of our heroes are being toppled

They sure are. Of course, the Birchites and the "palaeocons" are doing the same thing.

I don't know if George Washington was a "true chrstian" or not. If he was a deist (and that's possible) it was in his beliefs and not in his morals. I've read all but the last volume of Douglas Southall Freeman's voluminous work on Washington and he noted that Washington usually referred to "Providence." Of course Washington was an Anglican/Episcopalian, so probably by "born again" standards he wasn't a chrstian.

And Hollywood elites wonder why millions of tradition-minded Americans have been avoiding their work for years?

&&
The problem is that not enough people have been avoiding their work. If they were not making money on the junk they put on the big screen and on the little screen, they would be forced to change.

Yet another movie that I will not see.

If Hollywood depended on me for revenue, well, there wouldn’t be any. I haven’t been to a movie since 1997. And that was just one movie.
