If you study St. John’s life, you must conclude that he knew what he was talking about—he was the chief minister to the Caliph, as was his father before him.

Do Professors Esposito, Sells, etc.—not to mention Hillary, Albright, both Rices, etc. have anywhere near the qualifications that St. John of Damascus has? I think not!
