Indeed, although I think the point could be made with more passion and emphases, had theses teachers & Principal been armed some of theses innocent children might still be alive today.
Only a fool tries to change the world instead of preparing themselves to deal with the world that is.
As a Federal politician, he should feel obliged to point out the cause of this irreparable evil being Washington itself, who passed acts to prohibit the means of self-defense to the very people there to defend. Had the Principal had a gun rather than just her body she might have been successfully in halting the progress of this evil. Many of our kids might still be alive.
Posted this opinion on another thread, but I disagree with the voluntary idea. It should be mandatory along with proper firearms training. Make it a job requirement.
“Liberals have a bizarre worldview.
They believe that since they have willingly disarmed themselves the rest of us should too. The fact is, that the rest of us never made that choice and dont intend to.
We recognize that disarming ourselves doesn’t eliminate violence.”
Indeed disarming ourselves really is burring our head in the sand. Perhaps Liberals are thinking if they can keep everyone from hearing or seeing the tree fall in the Forrest it doesn’t really fall. lol
“”I think a bill to allow teachers who volunteer to go through defensive handgun training would be great to allow qualified staff to be armed”

I would not force a teacher to carry a gun, a lot of our teachers are themselves mentally unbalanced.
Also to keep guns in the class room will require tight security considerations because a lot of parents particularly northern parents will not teach their children about gun safety.
A safer place would be the Principal’s office, or up high in a locked box. This will doubt slow response time, but it will save a lot of innocent lives in the mean time.
That’s good advice, I will pass it on to my son. I told him last night that if there’s EVER a lockdown, to go out the window and run to the nearest public place. He said the windows only open 4 inches. I said: use a chair to bust out the window, clear away the glass and escape. I’ll deal with the damage payments and school administration.
