Obama is taking notes on how it’s done.

yep, every corner. One can only wonder what would have been had not the paths chosen been different should the time come, and as is written (that time) will come.

There was also a report posted on FR that Christian women were denied the right to vote by judicial action. Obama must be really proud of his creation and none of this gets reported in the major media.

I recently had a long and depressing discussion with my daughter about these matters and the same issues apply here as they did with the GOP primaries/election. Reduce the issues to their core and toss aside all the fluff and what are you left with?

A public that has been intentionally ‘educated’ to ignore history and embrace the promises of the ‘experts’.

Whether it’s supposed ‘conservatives’ ignoring the history of their candidates or the clusterfreak in the Mid East, where millenia of war/oppression/conflict were the standard and not the exception; the core issue is the same. People willingly refuse to learn the lessons of history and intentional magical thinking ensures the predictable outcome. To further reduce it to a concise point, people want to be lied to and oppressed. They want to eat crap because they enjoy the taste.

And to anyone that thinks I am full of it, I offer this.

If people did not want to be lied to, they would challenge the lies rather than roll over and make excuses for the liars. If people did not want to be oppressed, they would fight back against their oppressors and put some more effort in the game than random whining on the internet and returning to their regularly scheduled lives. If they wanted to be free, they would act like free people and not be publicly proud of their Stockholm Syndrome.

The comparison has often been made to a battered woman thinking she can change her abuser ‘with just one more chance’.

“We can make Muslims love us if we just...’
“If we hadn’t gone into (insert M.E. country here) they wouldn’t...’
‘If we write sternly worded letters to the congressmen we will unwaiveringly vote for regardless of what they do, they will...”

And my personal favorite...
“We have to vote for liar X even though we oppose everything they ever said/did because if we don’t, we will end up with another guy who we oppose everything they ever said or did).

When you reduce the arguments to their core issues, that’s the result.

Ergo, if people do not want a thing, they should not empower a thing. And as always I defy anyone to disprove the logic. Since the logic cannot be disproved, the simple truth is the same.

THEY WANT THEM.

Words of denial and rationalizations are meaningless in the face of demonstrated facts to the contrary.

And another thing while I’m in rant mode! ;)

There are currently a handful of people running around FR (and other sites) making every excuse you can imagine about Bohner/the GOP and how they didn’t really cave on the Fiscal cliff deal.

It’s the media’s fault, it’s all a lie to slander him, it’s any of a million provably BS excuses. Yet they are repeated ad nausem. And these same posters go into full defense of the GOP’s actions mode when abandoning the GOP gets mentioned.

Now is that not battered wife/Stockholm syndrome in technicolor glory?

Is that not magical thinking willfully undertaken?

When people in the Mid East act to empower the Muslim Brotherhood/jihadis while claiming they want to be free et all, is it logically any different from a Freeper acting as a firewall for a change in their situation? Working at cross purposes? I think that’s pretty apparent to anyone who is NOT willing to lie to themselves.

So again, if people do not want a thing, they should not empower a thing. Pretty simple math. Want to be rid of oppression and corruption? Do not work in any way to support it. Do not make excuses and rationalizations for it.

And unfortunately, I don’t believe there are enough people left on the earth to do it. Because the provable majority, lib, Muslim and yes ‘Conservative’ alike, ENJOY the chains that bind them.

/rant

...and so it goes for Odumbo and his Arab Spring. As it was the case in all the other incompetent sub-saharan dictators, chaos has always been their best ally. The new business of the US has become wars without end.

Thank You Norm. You typed and said what needed saying. If you are not on target, I will be surprised. Seldom surprised anymore, regrettably. Good to Great Rant.

“Egyptian democracy forces today openly accuse the Obama Administration of helping the Brotherhood take over the country.”
Yep. Glenn Beck warned us of this. Next up is Syria, and the Brotherhood will get in with the help of US troops.

I WANT people to come out and try proving me wrong. I want them to give it their best shot. Because I believe that not only does this need to be said, but people need to see the enemies in their midst.

And see them humiliated for the frauds they are.

Perhaps then the silent will speak up. And fight back.

A prayer it works Norm, and the silent will speak. We must try to have voices leading, and Thank You for trying to lead. I know my words have been fluff. If I were to rant am afraid Jim would have to ban me. I hope not for I am sensing a rant of rants coming upon me.

More ranting! Hell it made Dennis Miller a star ;)

Seriously though, for ever post, there are hundreds if not thousands of readers who either nod in agreement or reject the argument. Our problem is that whether it’s the PDS displayed regularly or any other topic, we need to show people that that there are more than a couple people who see things as we do.

Freepers of a truly conservative bent need to do two things IMO. Get and study Robert Greene’s book “The 48 Laws of Power” and also read up on propaganda and how/why it works.

Then apply learned knowledge.

But to sum it up for readers? Do NOT sit silently while either muslim tyrants, liberal governance or questionably aligned forum posters rip your freedoms from under you while you sit in quiet acceptance contributing to your own demise. You don’t have to be Patric Henry, but it would sure help to make your own voices/opinions heard. CLEARLY AND LOUDLY.

Much appreciation for the advice and recommendation of reading material. Too old to be a star. Ah, but I was so much older then, I’m younger than that now.

You described the GOP to a “T.”

This is why we need a third party and if we don’t get one, IT’S OVER! You can kiss America and its freedom away for good.

Do literacy rates have a bearing on the amount of Islamic fundamentalism i.e. Islamism in countries like Egypt? Little more than half the country’s adults are literate. While the male literacy rate is higher than the female rate, I would bet most of the crazy people causing trouble over there are the illiterate males. Islam attracts the most stupid and ignorant segments of any country. It appeals to the most stupid and violent males’ desire to kill people who don’t agree with them and subjugate women.

You are exactly right in both of your postings. The latter post (this one) brings to light the typical Republican voter who will shun the need to immediately form a Third party to actually represent conservatives and protect the Constitution.

Typical “zombie” Republican voters are normally “go along to get along” people who support a “go along to get along” Republican party.

It’s a lose-lose situation. With the democrats we are driving a car at 90 mph headed for a communist wall; with the Republicans we are in a car doing 85 mph headed for the same wall.

People had better wake up and slam on the breaks NOW!

I remember hearing that the famous Cairo speech that Obama gave specifically asked for the MB to be an audience to it.
