HBO producing Scorsese-directed Bill Clinton documentary By Daniel Strauss - 12/17/12 01:52 PM ET
HBO is producing a documentary about former President Bill Clinton by Oscar winning director Martin Scorsese.
The channel announced Monday that Clinton had given Scorsese full cooperation for the movie.
"I am pleased that legendary director Martin Scorsese and HBO have agreed to do this film," Clinton said in a statement. "I look forward to sharing my perspective on my years as president, and my work in the years since, with HBO’s audience."
HBO officials said the documentary will give Clinton a new chance to reflect on his presidency.
"This documentary, under Marty’s gifted direction, creates a unique opportunity for the president to reflect on myriad issues that have consumed his attention and passion throughout both his presidency and post-presidency," HBO CEO Richard Plepler and programming president Michael Lombardo said in a statement.
Scorsese called Clinton a "towering figure" who "continues to shape the political dialogue both here and around the world" in a statement.
"Through intimate conversations, I hope to provide greater insight into this transcendent figure," Scorsese said.
A title and date for the movie's premiere has not been announced yet, according to The New York Times.

Plus, don't forget, his meeting Hitlery when they were dating the same girl. Could be a blockbuster.

While I was on the set building crew of the pilot for “Boardwalk Empire”, directed by Scorcese, “Marty” came down to the location one day to see the set and we were told we had to stop working, and we were not allowed to look at him.

As I read this latest story on Benghazi, I am enraged. Four precious Americans are dead, and this administration has managed to prolong and avoid probing questions as to what went wrong and why and who gave orders to thwart efforts to assist and help the brave Navy Seals who fought and hoped help was on the way. That help never came! I recall President Obama promising those responsible would be brought to justice but that is not possible when the investigation is thwarted at every turn by those in this administration!
Where is Hillary Clinton and why has she not volunteered to assist and answer probing questions that the Secretary of State should willingly provide to the families and the American people?! Cover-up again?
I am currently reading the book “Following Orders: The Death of Vince Foster, Clinton White House Lawyer”, by author Marinka Peschmann. The cover-ups documented in this book (over 300 footnotes) by the Clinton administration regarding the death of Vince Foster are disturbing, to say the least. The timing of the publication of this book is haunting. The cover-up tactics used then are eerily similar to the evasive and outrageous tactics playing out in the Benghazi investigation.
In Peschmann’s previous book, The Whistleblower, she sums up the premise of the book in these words: “The Obama administration is the Clinton administration on steroids.” Many of the players are the same and the tactics are all too familiar.

Not me...I want to see the part where Scorsese shows how Clinton destroyed the economy in 2007 with his implementation of the CRA in the '90s forcing banks and lending institutions to give loans to millions of unqualified people many of whom defaulted leading to the sub-prime crisis. Also the part where Clinton had a chance to arrest Bin-Laden but let him go. Yeah, I can't wait for those parts. (snicker)
