Two people were wounded late Sunday when gunfire erupted at a local movie theater, sending panicked moviegoers rushing to exits and ducking for cover, police and witnesses said.

A lone suspect was in custody after being wounded by an unidentified law enforcement officer, a Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokesman said.

After the suspect reached the theater, an off duty Bexar County Sheriff officer who was working at the theater shot at him and possibly struck him, Antu said.

“She took all appropriate action to keep everyone safe in the movie theater,” Antu said.

So, general gun availability to law abiding citizens (see above and Clackamas County Mall) stops mass shootings.

Proved.

Libs will argue that was an off duty cop and that’s acceptible.

A guy went looking for a woman at a restaurant. She wasn't there and the people ran to the theater where the nut was shot outside the theater on the sidewalk. Nothing to do with the theater except she worked security there. what a load of crap.

He shot someone at the theater & that’s where he was shot. If someone at the restaurant had had a gun, maybe the headline would be ‘Gunman shot at Chinese restaurant’.

I’m anticipating black on white shootings inspired by Taratino’s new film.

If the government really wanted to do something about the violence in our society they would put $100.00 “sin tax” on tickets to see this type of movie. Rentals would be taxed at $300.00 and buying the video would entail a $500.00 tax. Profits to the film maker would be taxed at 80% and theaters that show them would also see increased taxes. I don’t think we’d have to worry about their influence for long and until the taxes killed the industry the funds could be used to repair the damage it has done to society. If ever a “sin tax” was justified, this is it. The same type of tax penalties should apply to violent video games.

The property starts at the entrance not somewhere outside. He was arrested for firing at a police car.

Officials said the officer, Sgt. Lisa Castellano, heard the gunfire inside the theater and ran towards the sound of the shooting to find out what was going on. Sgt. Castellano spotted Garcia coming out of a bathroom with his gun drawn and fired at him, shooting him four times.
