I thought it was illegal to make such public threatening statements. And, he put it in written form which can be documented. Can I post something about needing to shoot those with whom I disagree or will law enforcement pay me a visit?

If law enforcement is not going to pay this guy a visit, then why? And, if they were to pay me a visit for making such comments about those I believe are causing the problems in this country, will they decide not to come and see me?

Seriously, we need some answers here.

Over the weekend, Houston Democrat Precinct Chair John Cobarruvias tweeted, "Can we now shoot the #NRA and everyone who defends them?"

Nothing says 'mourning innocents lost' like proposing more mass murder of innocents.

Does this clown understand that some of the parents of those children could easily be members of the NRA? Now he proposes killing them too? Really?

Oh, he said more...

"Let's face it. The #NRA is nothing but a domestic terrorist organization. They have done NOTHING to stop this violence except make excuses," he added.

On Saturday, he posted a comment on his Facebook page asking NRA members to "un-friend" him and issued a disturbing message.

"They need to [be] wiped off the face of the earth," he wrote, speaking of the NRA and those who support owning guns.

"Personsally if they were wiped off the planet it wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit," he wrote in another comment.

So now it escalates. Suppose we were to subsitute the subject, NRA, for ACLU lawyers, liberals or anti-gun individuals. Would law enforcement look into it? Hello officers? You there? This individual is making what amounts to terroristic threats. Hello TSA? Hello.....

Since we’re all at work, trying to keep our kids fed and the bills paid, we probably won’t be organizing a posse to visit this guy’s place of residence to demand he be arrested.

Conversely, if one of us said something like this, SEIU members would be paid and bused to our front door. The’d be fed doughnuts and coffee and kept company by the world’s media. We’d receive death threats and visits from the FBI. Our beloved president would have harsh words.

We’ve been subjugated, folks.

I saw some estimates of the TX membership of the NRA showing it to be about 225,000 in 2010. That is a number of active membership.

Those who have at times been members could easily be 3 times that number.

Those who strongly support the 2nd Amendment is many times larger than those numbers.

Remember there are 2 guns in private ownership in Texas for every man, woman and child living in the state. Some families have none, but others have many.

Ignore the idiot leftist in Austin, Houston and Dallas. The rest of the state is generally a lot more sane.

I have no problem with this whatsoever provided (a) NRA members are allowed to return fire without fear of prosecution; and (b) abortionists and their supporters are subject to the equivalent of a partial birth abortion.

It would be nice if the left would actually make the move necessary to trigger a resounding response from people defending their liberty.

But, they’re too smart for that. They’ll keep nibbling away at our freedoms so that there is no “bright line” that they cross where we can boldly point and say “you started it”.

Oh but they don't mean in person. They mean send their beloved police and swat teams to kill gun owners, and 99.99% of police if given the order would do just that, because then gun owners would be criminals. People who question orders and worry about constitutionality don't become cops.

Yes. Anti-gunners want to use guns to kill pro-gunners, thus making the anti-gunner into a pro-gunner, and hence a target for the next anti-gunner . Makes perfect sense to me.

Ah, this is Texas and there are many Texans who are NRA members and who very well armed. For Democrat precinct committeeman John Cobarruvias to advocate the murder of NRA members is a rather shortsighted threat. Were those who took him seriously, the intended victims would undoubtedly respond by shooting back and probably not take prisoners. So, Mr. John Cobarruvias, if you're felling froggy . . . then jump!

Most sheeperals are “liberal” in order to bolster their unearned sense of advocacy-based self-righteousness.

Pointing out that the policies that make them feel good about themselves as good people are enforced at gun point “harshes their buzz”.

Turns out that John Cobarruvias is also a civil service NASA employee at the Johnson Space Center. Perhaps someone can think of something to do with that tidbit of info.

“It would be nice if the left would actually make the move necessary to trigger a resounding response from people defending their liberty. . .But, they’re too smart for that.”

As Earl Stanley Gardiner's great fictional lawyer Perry Mason would say: “You have assumed a fact not in evidence.”

The Left isn't that smart or devious on the whole and they have a lot of unhinged morons on the fringes. The more the politicians rachet-up their rhetoric, the more likely it is one of these loons will act. Then, the blowback begins.

This is the voice of violence and hate in society that is spurring on attention whore lunatics into action. He needs to be brought up on charges for threatening the lives of NRA members. Maybe there should be a class action suit.

In light of what just happened in Conn., this is criminal action by a radical, anti-social disordered politican. This is the murderous, dehumanizing mentality slaughtering in Mexico. It’s un-American. He’s inciting violence. He’s called for the murder of people he hates.

They don't listen anyway. The beauty of liberalism is that you already know all the answers, so you never need to question your beliefs. Gun control is not a rational conclusion for these people, but rather an article of faith. "For the true believer no proof is necessary." (and no disproof possible)

Democrat Precinct Chair John Cobarruvias is no different than Adam Lanza.

This is why violent, mentally ill people should be removed from society. Should we wait until he does murder a NRA member?

Actually, it is a rational conclusion from the wrong starting point. That wrong starting point is the nature of man. They believe that the people who seek power do so out of benevolence, and are inherently superior morally and intellectually, and are therefore going to do everything to the benefit of society.

It seems the esteemed Mr. Cobarruvias has an e-mail address.

It is johncoby@orbitworld.net

Feel free to contact him there. Here’s what I sent:

Mr. Cobarruvias,

I was recently made aware of one of your recent tweets during which you advocated the shooting of NRA members and their supporters.

As an NRA and TSRA member, ardent supporter of the second amendment and aspiring firearms training coach, I wanted to tell you that I take your comments seriously. To that end, be advised that in the off chance that we meet (and I am in the Bay Area rather frequently), I will consider your presence as an immediate threat to my life and will act accordingly in compliance with all existing state and federal laws.

Regards,

TxEagle

Just found this at Weasel Zippers.

After reading about the tweets on another site, Yvonne Larsen noticed a familiar name.

“Among the selection of tweets advocating for the murder of NRA President Keene and all NRA members was a name familiar to me; probably familiar to many readers of Houston’s Liberal blog sites,” she wrote at Big Jolly Politics.

Larsen said she “pasted a screen shot from the Freedom’s Outpost story in case NASA employee and Democrat Precinct 699 Chair John Cobarruvias of the Houstonblog Bay Area Houston tries to delete his tweet.

And that is the time (blowback) when the more devious on the Left strike a conciliatory tone, saying in effect:
"Now, now, I know we have been agitating one group against the other for decades, in order to enact laws which enrich ourselves at the expense of those we demonize and those dumb enough to follow our rhetoric. But now that it looks like a large number of you are about to march and hang me from a lamp post and hold me accountable for my actions, can't we all just get along?"

Or said devious types get so frightened they decide to throw a match (think Assad in Syria).

I see a lot of that sentiment here. How many here cheered McVeigh who actually acted on that sentiment? Nationwide how many rose up in rebellion when the feds murdered the Branch Davidians? Point being is that there is a lot of talk, but how many will act when it comes down to the wire. We're kind of like the frogs, noticing that the water is hot, but not going to jump just yet.

I have been an NRA member for years, I’ve had some differences with them over some of their endorsments, “harry reid” for example, but I’ve never put one of those little stickers on my truck. I have a bunch of them and I’m going to put them on both vehicles, I think I’ll also order some “COME and TAKE IT” stickers.

As someone who was raised in TX and has lived here almost my entire 34 years.... I can speak with authority around the fact that the lib bastards in the aforementioned cities are almost entirely from California and the Northeast. I currently live in Austin and the left-wing whackos are a vocal majority that are primarily east of MOPAC (if you’re familiar with Austin). There are still plenty of hippies here, but not as many as there us to be.
