Source: CT Murderer Lived in Windowless Basement Playing Violent Video Games

Adam Lanza, the shooter who massacred 20 children and six adults last Friday at Sandy Hook Elementary School, spent hours in the windowless basement of his home playing violent video games like "Call of Duty" and obsessing over "guns and military equipment."

Peter Wlasuk, a plumber who worked at the Lanza home, told The Sun that Lanza "lived in the basement" and he found it "strange."

"He had a proper set up down there — computers, a bathroom, bed and desk and a TV," Wlasuk said. "There were no windows.”

Wlasuk said he went down to the basement on numerous occasions while doing work at Lanza's home and said Lanza also had a "huge poster with every tank ever made" and another one with "every piece of military equipment the U.S. ever made." He said the Lanza brothers could tell "you about guns they had never seen from the 40s, 50s and 60s."

Lanza was suspected of being mentally ill and may have had Asperger's. His high school assigned him to a counselor because they feared he may harm himself but not others.

According to reports, Lanza's mother was a "a gun enthusiast who owned at least five weapons" and "took her younger son to a local firing range just days before the rampage."

A family friend told NBC that Lanza's mother said she wanted to introduce Adam to guns to teach him a "sense of responsibility."

“Guns require a lot of respect and she really tried to instill that," the friend said. "And he took to it. He loved being careful with them. He made it a source of pride.”

Liberals: Ms. Lanza, we know you were murdered by the child you love but we’re sorry, we’re going to have to throw you under the bus. But please know we will name the gun confiscation legislation the “Ms. Lanza 2nd Amendment Abolishment Act” in your honor.”

His video games, his range time, his jocksniffing military fanboyism, his Asperger's and his living in mommy's basement did not make him a murderer.

His personal rage and hatred made him a murderer, and his paranoid schizophrenia probably influenced his choice of target.

So now any boy who has pictures or posters of guns, tanks, fighter jets, naval destroyers, or computers and video game consoles is going to shoot up a school? GTFO!

I had posters of fighter jets and rifles on my walls as a child, and I never once considered shooting up a school or killing anyone; AND I was bullied!

As I got older, I simply made it a goal to collect a majority of the rifles on that poster. hehe

So far, I’ve got a long way to go.

Nancy Lanza should have had her son committed to a psychiatric institution.

If she had made that unpleasant but necessary choice, things would have ended differently for her and for 26 other innocent people.

Sounds like a zoning code violation, unless there was an exit door in addition to the “normal” stairway.

Better get the building code enforcers over there STAT !!!

Crazy people are crazy. All of this is silly BS.

My Video game has killed less people than Ted Kennedy’s car.

I want to know if he was on any psychotropic medication before his rampage also.

His mother knew he had severe emotional issues and failed to secure her weapons. She screwed up.

I wonder if anyone has spotted a relationship between the size of the government debt and the number of these kinds of mass murders.

I think big government is the cause. If Obama really wants to do something ...

;)

(Can you imagine the conniptions if someone actually showed such a relationship? Can you imagine how fast Obama would back off the “We have to do something” meme?)

I was thinking myself that occupied square footage without some means of exterior egress is a big no-no. Not just a zoning violation but illegal. What if there were a fire?

THE loner responsible for the sickening massacre was mentally ill, aggressive and had an unhealthy obsession for violent computer games, it emerged last night.

Cowardly Adam Lanza, 20, was driven to carry out the bloody killings after his parents split up and his friends alienated him, reports emerging from America revealed.

Chillingly, his favourite video game was said to be a shockingly violent fantasy war game called Dynasty Warriors which is thought to have given him inspiration to act on his darkest thoughts.

I blame Elvis.

In all seriousness I believe that there is a sickness throughout much of society that is being inflicted on children from a very early age. Hell we’re telling kindergarteners that their parents destroyed the planet and its a hopeless situation. They’re telling them that homosexuality is normal and not having those thoughts is abnormal.

At home most families are dual breadwinner families with little parental guidance most of the time. No one is there to monitor the games and TV. Many families barely speak to each other.

Throw mental illness on top of it and you have a recipe for disaster.

Time to ban online sales of video games. I sure hope Senator Emeritus Feinstein issues tough legislation on windowless basement apartments too.

I know a Bass player who had every model of airplane and tank used by all sides in WWII. He moved to Germany and owns Marco’s Miniatures where he makes miniature musical instruments and is a model broker for people around the work who want to buy vintage Revelle models from WW II.
