Police in Canada say three people have been arrested in connection with a massive maple syrup heist from a Quebec warehouse, which put a dent in the global supply.
Quebec produces up to 80 percent of the world's maple syrup.

I like Pennsylvania maple syrup—which I have never seen for sale outside of Pennsylvania. Most maple syrup sold in California comes from Canada.

Eastern Townships (SE of Montreal) in the Province of Quebec produce some of the best maple syrup in Canada. This region is immediately north of VT & NH which also produce excellent maple syrup. I’m originally from eastern Canada and as a young boy helped in the gathering of sap from the pails on maple trees, this sap, basically colorless, is boiled down & becomes maple syrup. Great stuff.
