I stand with the NRA! (vanity)

Posted on 12/18/2012 9:06:13 PM PST by ReaganÜberAlles

QUICK! When was the greatest school massacre in American history? HINT: You weren't alive when it happened and there's a very good chance that your parents weren't either.

Google: Bath School Massacre

Be alert....the Socialist facists are coming for our guns. One trained school employee, armed with a .22, could have stopped the Sandy Hook shooter. An armed pilot on each of 4 airplanes would have stopped 9/11 cold.

This isn't about the slaughter of innocents. This is about the ever expanding reach of government into our everyday lives.

God bless the NRA and G*d damn Liberalism!!!!

"Of all the endorsements made by the NRA, how many in your opinion were/are socialist Democrats? Please name all of them."

Anyone with a "D" after their name.

Name all of them. Should be easy (even for you) as there are so few.

I never supported nor trusted Manchin, since anyone with a brain could see his leftist voting record and nobody in his neo-Marxist party can be trusted. Why are you going out of your way to defend him ?

>> Of all the endorsements made by the NRA, how many in your opinion were/are socialist Democrats? Please name all of them. <<

How many of the dozens of left-wing Democrats who earned the NRA endorsement do you want me to name? In 2010 ALONE they endorsed 58 Democrats in House races (it would take even longer if I was going to list all the Democrats for Governor and Senate they supported), and very few, if ANY of those Democrats were "conservatives". Aside from Gene Taylor and 1 or 2 others you won't find any non-socialists on that list. The vast majority of them pledged to support Nancy Pelosi and her agenda. I know the two Dems they endorsed in my state were NO conservatives, and Debbie Halvonson is an outright commie who tried to run to the left of Jesse Jackson Jr. this year. Here's 56 of the 58:

AL-2: Bobby Bright
AR-4: Mike Ross
Ca-18: Dennis Cardoza
CO-3: John Salazar
CO-4: Betsy Markey
FL-2: Allen Boyd
Ga-2: Sanford Bishop
Ga-8: Jim Marshall
Ga-12: John Barrow
IA-3: Leonard Boswell
IL-11: Debbie Halvorson
IL-12: Jerry Costello
IN-Senate-Brad Ellsworth
IN-2: Joe Donnely
IN-8: Trent Van Haaften
IN-9: Baron Hill
KY-6: Ben Chandler
MD-1: Frank Kratovil
MI-1: Gary McDowell
MN-1: Tim Walz
MS-1: Travis Childers
MS-4: Gene Taylor
MO-4: Ike Skelton
NC-7: Mike McIntyre
NC-8: Larry Kissell
NC-11: Heath Shuler
ND-At Large: Earl Pomeroy
NM-1: Martin Heinrich
NM-2: Harry Teague
NM-3: Ben Lujan
NY-20: Scott Murphy
NY-23: Bill Owens
NY-24: Mike Acruri
OH-Gov. Ted Strickland
OH-6: Charlie Wilson
OH-16: John Boccieri
OH-18: Zack Space
OK-2: Dan Boren
OR-5: Kurt Schrader
PA-4: Jason Altmire
PA-10: Chris Carney
PA-11: Paul Kanjorski
PA-12: Mark Critz
PA-17: Tim Holden
SD-At Large: Stephanie Sandlin
TN-4: Lincoln Davis
TN-8: Roy Herron
TX-17: Chet Edwards
UT-2: Jim Matheson
VA-2: Glenn Nye
VA-5: Tom Perriello
VA-9: Rick Boucher
WI-3: Ron Kind
WI-8: Steve Kagen
WV-Senate: Joe Manchin
WV-3: Nick Rahall

Here's a "pro-gun" Democrat that the NRA worked their butts off to elect:

>> Neither the NRA or GOA have provided me with their rating systems. <<

A former NRA director resigned his position and says they're rating system is a joke and plenty of anti-gun candidates earn their support, I supposed that doesn't bother you either. Maybe it's a secret left-wing conspircy to make him say that:

http://www.ncgunowners.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=15094&page=2

>> So is the NRA. As far as I know that's about all Rove and the NRA have in common. <<

So, answer the question, do we need to "Stand with Karl Rove", since he's constantly under fire from the left and tells us that he's our pal?

>> That's about the only intelligent thing you posted. <<

Which is more intelligent than anything you've posted.

>> The NRA has done more to preserve and support the 2nd Amendment and gun rights than any individual or organization. <<

Why, Wayne LaPierre, I didn't you had an account on FR! Unfortunately for you, the GOA has done more to stand up for gun owners since 2008 than the NRA has done in the last few decades. They don't elect people pledged to support the enemy and "compromise" with people vowing to abolish gun ownership as their ultimate goal.

That was no allegation, sir, that was an accusation. Are you going to tell me a member of the national Democrat party is worthy of a pro-Constitutional endorsement ? This is 2012, not 1896. What is it with the leftist Manchin groupies on this thread ?

“I've been a constitutional rights activist and NRA member for 35 years, life member for 20 years, and was a board member for a couple years,” Howard explained. “As an activist, I was involved in races in which you couldn't help noticing that NRA's candidate grades were grossly misleading. Phony grading allows NRA staff to cover up the anti-gun record of incumbents and anti-gun opinions of challengers, to endorse and support anti-gun candidates, and direct member support to candidates they would never support if they knew the truth. It wastes NRA members' trust, resources, time and money and even directs it in many cases to the enemies of gun rights." -- Russ Howard

All the anger and defensiveness in the thread is coming from the mindless NRA apologists and Manchin groupies. Either these folks are willfully stupid or their agenda is anti-2A. Needless to say, I have no use for either.

I’m not defending Manchin, I’m defending the NRA and I’m doing that because it is the most powerful tool in our pro-second amendment toolbox. Undermining the NRA is not something I have any use for. This is the kind of game that I would play with democrats, weakening their alliances. I don’t appeeciate being on the other end of that trick over here. You’re wasting everyone’s time and energy with this.

1997.....sour grapes. Why did leftist organizations and leftist politicians oppose and condemn "Project Exile"?

It's a waste of time to argue with people who want to mindlessly have a "NRA = our saviors" pep rally and ignore any evidence showing otherwise. I probably shouldn't have bothered with this thread as posting here just brought more user attention to the NRA lovefest, which is what the groupies here wanted.

RC one, you're kidding yourself if you think defending the NRA is not defending Manchin. He would have never been able to do all the damage he did if groups like the NRA didn't constantly play him as a "pro-liberty, patriotic" Democrat in mailing and campaign ads to give West Virginians a false impression of him. I for one, never trusted Manchin.

If you think they're going to be grave reprecussions from the NRA and they'll rethink all their Democrat endorsements, you're also kidding yourself. If you NRA cheerleaders would bother reading the links I posted here to prove my point, you'd see no less than 10 Senators who voted for gun grabber Kagan had NRA grades of ‘A+’ or ‘A’, and 14 of those who voted for Sotomayor did. Despite the NRA vows that it was a 'keyvote' on their scorecard that would severely lower their rating if they supported gun-grabbing judges, most of the incumbents who voted for Kagan and every other anti-gun nomination and gun grabber were allowed to keep the grade they had, and some actually saw their grades go UP. Only one pro-Kagan Senator saw their grade drop, while three of them were given BETTER ratings in 2012. The NRA then supported these Senators over Republican opponents who also had A ratings.

An endorsement for the NRA is an endorsement for Joe Manchin and the dozens other socialist gun-grabbing politicians they helped elect. You can stand with the NRA and Manchin or you can stand with numerous other pro-gun orgnizations that AREN'T in bed with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid's pals. Your choice.

Hmm. After repeatedly DEMANDING the names of the dozens of socialist Democrats the NRA gave their blessing too, I see you've made no effort to refute my statement that they're socialists. Why not, don't want to show all us naysayers what splendid statesmen the NRA lent their support to? Feel free to tell us about the NRA's buddies Debbie Halvonson and Ted Stickland. I'm sure such a wonderful heroic pro-gun organization would never knowingly endorse an enemy of freedom, right?

Argue with these liberals and one shouldn’t be surprised at what they hit back with when they predictably lose.

they endorsed 58 Democrats in House races

So how many of them are social democrats? Can a 2nd Amendment supporter be a social Democrat? Can a weak supporter of the 2nd Amendment be a Republican? The 2nd Amendment isn't about political parties, is it? You live in a leftist dump. Why can't a conservative 2nd Amendment supporter win in Illinois?

I supposed that doesn't bother you either.

One dissident director in 1997 out of how many in the past 15 years?

I didn't you had

You shouldn't imbibe while posting. LOL!
