It took about a whopping 5 secs for the left to politicize this mass murder for their gun control purposes. Most of the talk on the right has been on the defensive, justifying the 2nd ammendment in reaction to those efforts.
My opinion is that these events are averted by a stronger civil defense, not fewer guns or more police. Allowing folks to carry would provide that.
How about the repubs take the lead and push for concealed carry rights across the 50 states? This should be easy, legally, given the Heller decision.
If there's ever a Repub exec in the Whitehouse again, they should sue states that impose undue burdens on carrying. After all, didn't AZ get sued for what the Feds thought were abuses of rights on immigration?
Just another reason to get RINOs out and the TEA Party in.
Repubs need to come out of the gate swinging just like our commie "friends" across the aisle do.

Bonehead may take the lead, but u may be disappointed the direction

The republicans leading on any issue means that issue will be lost utterly.
I will defend my own rights in this matter, and with regard to guns and the 2nd amendment, that conversation is over.
If officials wish to discuss actually defending children and schools, then we can discuss that.
The Democrats have given our side a HUGE opportunity to put an end to this gun control crap once and for all.
From now on any further discussion of gun control measures will include making all abortions illegal. Don’t want to discuss that? Then STFU.
After all it’s about protecting the innocents, right?

Agree completely. I am predicitng BOLD Action including the banning of all hand guns and semi-automatic rifles. And no, I'm not being sarcastic.
