House Dem: 'Turn in your guns' ( Sheila Jackson Lee)
The Hill ^ | 12-19-12 | Pete Kasperowicz

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) on Wednesday afternoon urged people to turn in their guns, arguing it would be an appropriate response to last week's mass shooting in Newtown, Conn.

"I would personally just say to those who are listening, maybe you want to turn in your guns," Jackson Lee said on the House floor. "Oh no, I'm not going to take your guns. But look at what Dick's Sporting Goods did ... they wanted to be part of the solution and part of America."

With people Like Diane Feinstein and Obama aiming to ban “assault weapons” who knows where they draw the line. I would say it could go all the way to banning all guns.

If enough people could remember times like this, they would never get away with it. But it looks like George Santayana’s maxim proves true once more.

Sorry Sheila, I gave my guns to the Apollo astronauts to protect themselves on Mars when they landed there, and they didn’t have enough fuel to bring them back.

Yes, by all means, turn them in. I will have collection points set up in all major cities and I assure you, the guns you turn in will find a good home ...

Speaking of guns in the hands of children, Todavia Cleckley and Marcus Valesquez, teens on the run after murdering a West Pennsylvania woman, Kayle Peterson (22) were ARRESTED in a Beaver Falls home on Tuesday. (teens harassing man for cigarette. the 22 year-old woman told them to get a job)

In a quick google search, I could only find one article about the arrest.

As well as the security guards in the WH, Capitol, and all personal secret service for these gubmint clowns, including the precious first daughters. If or kids in public schools don’t deserve armed protection, why should they?

I hate when the eternal victim mentality meets self-righteousness.

I am old, not in good physical shape, and unable, with medical conditions to fight off most any attacker, man or woman, who may choose to attack me because the need drug money, or because they are on bath salts or something else.

If you take away my gun, Rep. Lee, who will be responsible to defend me when I cannot defend myself. I would not win in a machete fight, as all the dead in Rwanda have shown, I would not win in a knife fight, as those children in China have shown, I would not win in a fist fight, since I am unlikely to land a single blow.

Will You, Ms. Lee, be responsible for me? Will you be there to see that I am not a victim?

Or will you be, like the police, the historian of my death, who makes an announcement to the few people who would care (due to my lack of fame)?

Why must we be reduced to the lowest common denominator for victim status?

Why can we not be all elevated to equality of force with the evil that confronts us?

My .45 will do just that, arthritis and all, overweight girth, and slow pace, notwithstanding.

The only reason you fear guns, Ms. Lee, is because it is the one tool that allows me my primary civil right of self-defense. You only wish to help me to control me, and for no other reason.

Ms. Lee, you may promptly go to hell.

Sounds like an Atlas Shrugged move. If the government can’t legally take it, they convince people to “voluntarily” give it to them.

Sheila Jackson Lee is the poster beast, can’t really use “child” here, of why stupid people should not be allowed to vote.

Look Sheila....I and my guns had a heart to heart talk last night...

I made them promise never to leave the house on their own and go kill innocent people...No bad guns or misbehavior in my house...

In return I will keep them clean and take them to the range next Saturday...
