Belgium is considering a significant change to its decade-old euthanasia law that would allow minors and Alzheimer’s sufferers to seek permission to die.
The proposed changes to the law were submitted to parliament on Tuesday by the Socialist party and are likely to be approved by other parties, although no date has yet been put forward for a parliamentary debate.
“The idea is to update the law to take better account of dramatic situations and extremely harrowing cases we must find a response to,” party leader Thierry Giet said. …

We should have a law that allows any Registered Democrat to euthanize themselves. In fact we should encourage the practice. In fact it should be free..the taxpayers pay for the shots. Just like birth control.
The socialists seem to have pushed this in 2004 as well. Started shortly after Belgium passed the original euthanasia law in 2002. Really shows socialism as the monstrosity it truly is.
How can a child make such a decision, and how would you determine that a Alzheimer patient was rational enough to make a decision. Sadly there are too many people trying to kill other people using the humanely sounding euthanasia to achieve their ends. I suggest that all persons promoting euthanasia be the first to embrace it.
