What's this? Republicans acting like (gasp!) Republicans? Amazing!!!!

They cut the bill from $60.4mil to $24mil.

Don’t get too excited. A skeptical person might conclude that the GOP’s sudden interest in fiscal retraint has less to do with recapturing traditional conservative values than it does with the fact that Sandy was a blue-state storm.

The original Bill had provisions for funding of emergency sand replenishment of the beaches. IMHO, that can wait.

More important is restoring power and heat to the thousands, including my brother, who are still waiting almost two months later. And something should be done about the mold that’s quickly spreading and causing sickness.
