geez, the 1st report was off by a factor of 700% in DFW, must have been one of those goverment rounding errors.

Duh.
That stuff is worth money! When it is the primary objective do you think it'd be just wasted?
(I know it gets flared off around oil wells, but oil is worth more, and it generally is only done until a feeder pipeline is built).
I'd wager the people howling about it need look no further for the source than behind them...
