The ATF, FBI and other government thugs massacred 76 American women, children and men with assault weapons, tanks, helicopters and machine guns in 1993 in Waco,TX. Then they set the church on fire in which the innocent American citizens were taking refuge from the government thugs!
If anyone needs their assault weapons taken from them, it is the U.S. Government thugs!!

But of course, it is OK for the federal government to hand over 2,500 assault weapons to Mexican drug cartels who used them to murder Brian Terry, one of our border control agents and tens of thousands of innocent Mexican citizens!!!
After Waco and "Fast and Furious", the federal government has no credibility with respect to gun control...in fact, they are the ones who should not be allowed to possess any guns......!

The catalyst was the government’s use of incendiary tear gas canisters in a +90mph wind environment. The fire spread with a fury.

So conveniently forgotten by the MSM. Where’s the yearly memorial for them. Oh, I forgot, it’s Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston that has memorials and moments of silence in Congress.

I will say this, however. I was, frankly, surprised would be a mild word, to say that anyone that would suggest that the Attorney General should resign because some religious fanatics murdered themselves. (Applause.)
Never forget.

It burned down with the help of the government forces.

Three points:
- The government knew that Koresh was harmless to his environs, to his own people and to the kids in the “compound”. I know that from personal communication with a leftwing (but with integrity) professor at Berkeley.
- The government used foreign military in the action. They borrowed two recog planes from the UK, complete with crews, for the FLIR which the US didn’t have.
- Eric Holder played a key role.

It burned down with the help of the government forces. No, it didn't.
I'm as disgusted with the ATF and clinton's "justice department" as any conservative, but making stuff up doesn't promote our argument.
This was a diabolical cult lead by a tyrannical, child-raping criminal. A properly issued search warrant was resisted with deadly violence. And then they burned down the roof over their own heads after a weeks-long standoff, thinking that Koresh would miraculously rescue them.
Sorry. Law enforcement was right on this one.

There were three different fires started within the compound on that fateful day. Did CS gas cause all three? No. Blame goes to the BR’s as well as the feds.
But another question is why were no fire trucks or any fire fighters on the scene when the fire fight started on that incredibly windy day? It took some 30-45 minutes after the fires began for responders to arrive.

There were plenty of exits. Many people had been already allowed to leave during the standoff. Anyone staying inside during the fire either was doing so of their own accord, or were being detained against their will. In which case the BR's were solely culpable.
