Ah, “disorderly conduct.” One of the elastic “crimes” which along with obstruction, disturbance, loitering, impeding, etc. are only crimes if the authorities feel like it. I say we all act a little less orderly around them, then maybe the bar will have to be reset to a reasonable height.

It’s an old Indian name, in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
So I guy I work with gets mad driving to work and makes the pointed (gun) finger gesture at a lady. The lady calls the cops. They find him at work (maybe she followed his car). They search the car, they find a gun. He has a concealed permit, so no gun violation (obviously he never touched the gun in regard to the lady, and wasn’t about to). My company fires him for having a gun on their property (which companies can do in Texas, at least back then). I’m not sure if criminal charges were filed on him for “threatening” her with the gesture.
He’s a good guy, was great to work with (never prone to anger at work), and I wish him well. But it shows how a little “comment” can escalate and not only ruin your day, but, in his case at least, likely ruin your career and retirement also (and maybe the ability to pay for your kids to get worthless degrees from college).
I LOVE that picture. Everything was so practical back then.

Ooooh Noooo! The finger gun. Thats what I do to the illegal aliens who cruise past our house staring into our garage to see what they can come back and steal. You would not believe the positive effect it has on them. :-)
